The resistance of language and the morphology of speech are two characteristics of the work of Teresa Solar Abboud(Madrid, 1985). Her work is based on a continuous search for multiple concepts presented as enormous sculptural installations that, in recent years, have become more complex through forms related to resistance, hollowness, the body and bone structure. The artist began using drawing and video as her fundamental work tools, but over time her production has come to focus on sculpture, exploring new materials with which she articulates forms that refer to elements related to the organic and lead to a world of metaphors that hint at the flow of currents, voids and the connectivity between orifices and gaps.

Queer as Book nació en 2023 de las ganas y la necesidad de reunirse, conocer gente nueva y comentar libros relacionados con el colectivo LGTBIQA+. Un espacio seguro donde poder hablar sin juicios entorno a un libro y bajo las experiencias de cada une. Tras siete sesiones, volvemos a la carga con nuevas lecturas para esta segunda edición. En esta sesión, comentaremos el libro Love me tender de Constance Debré (Alpha Decay, 2024), que se inicia con la historia de una mujer que tras confesar a su exmarido que está manteniendo relaciones con mujeres. Éste, lleno de odio y empeñado en apartarla de su hijo, decide llevar el asunto a los tribunales para quitarle la custodia, y manipular al niño para que manifieste que no quiere seguir viendo a su madre. Please arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes before show time (listed event time) to check in, get a drink, and find a seat. If the show is sold out and you haven’t been checked in by show time, we will assume you are a no show and will sell your seat to the waiting list with no refund. If you will be late, please notify us via email (info@thecomedyclubhouse.es), Instagram (@thecomedyclubhousebcn), or WhatsApp (+34 665 46 91 55) and we will hold your tickets up to 10 minutes after showtime. We will close the doors 10 minutes after showtime. If you arrive after that, we may deny entry without a refund.
