Open to University of Nottingham students, our 3km Santa Run is the perfect way to end term and get yourself in the festive spirit. Entry is free for ALL students living in Active Living Halls (see below for the full listing), and just £3.50 for students not living in Active Living Halls. Active Living Halls - Ancaster, Cavendish, Cripps, Dagfa, Derby, Florence Boot, Lenton & Wortley, Lincoln, Melton, Newark, Nightingale, Rutland, Sherwood, Southwell and Varsity All entrants will receive a complimentary Santa Hat to run the race in and a Christmas snack on completion. There are a limited number of Santa Run medals which will be handed out whilst stocks last. Further information on registering for your wave on the day will be sent to you closer to the time. ------------------------ If you have any questions about the Santa Run, please email daniella.dutton@nottingham.ac.uk If you'd like to be involved, but don't want to take part in the run - we are looking for a number of volunteers to support with registration and marshalling the route. The Curious Cabaret: Beeston | The Berliner

The Curious Cabaret is an evening of legerdemain, laughter and libations, hosted by Member of The Magic Circle, Chris Wilder. WHAT TO EXPECT Each month, the Curious Cabaret showcases different magicians from around the UK who excel in their areas of magical expertise, demonstrating feats of mind reading, sleight of hand, and illusion. Doors open at 7PM for food and the show starts at 8PM. The show lasts 2 hours, including two short intervals. It is designed for adults as the venue is a licensed cocktail bar. Throughout the evening you can expect to be amazed and astounded, enjoy fits of laughter, and find yourself asking 'how'? WHERE The show is held at The Berliner Bar, Beeston, Nottingham where you can find a selection of wines, spirits, draft ales and delicious cocktails to enjoy throughout the evening. The venue is easily accessible by public transport and parking is available nearby. TICKETS To ensure the best performances, ticket numbers are limited with allocated seating. There are a number of front row VIP seats available for the best seats in the house. ADVANCED TICKETS are on sale until 6PM on the day of the show. The Headliner | BUCS American Football - Nottingham v Loughborough | David Ross Sports Village

The University of Nottingham American Football first team are now competing in the BUCS National League and our fixture against Loughborough will be a featured game as our next Headliner event! Support from Red Bull promises an extra special match day experience for spectators as our gold side look to cement their place at the top of the table. Kick-off at David Ross Sports Village is scheduled for 6pm, with doors to the event set to open at 5.15pm. The Headliner is an event series, hosted by University of Nottingham Sport and supported by RedBull showcasing our BUCS teams competing at the top level of university sport. The series is highly competitive as our teams compete against other Universitiesin the best BUCS leagues, and showcases the very best athletes in UK university sport. Show your #GreenandGold colours here on campus to end the calendar year in style, and bring the noise to push our team onto another victory on the gridiron! Carry-in policy Sealed bottles of water and soft drinks, and personal size food items (e.g., a sandwich, crisps, piece of fruit) are all permitted. Strictly no alcohol is permitted to be brought into the complex. Concessions Food and drink will be available from various concessions stands. These operate via Cashless payment only (options include credit/debit cards). Parking Parking is available for attendees at David Ross Sports Village, however due to a number of events also happening at the centre on the same date it will be limited. We advise attendees to travel by public transport where possible. They aim to bring to you the very best of their specially designed sessions in this series of 'Little Creatives' workshops in libraries. The always evolving workshops will help your little one to unleash their creative imagination and develop new skills. Come and share in the active, playful, and sometimes messy fun. Suitable for children aged 2-5 years. Session time: 45 mins. Workshops are FREE but places are limited so booking is advised.
