The Tactical Athlete Games | Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, Crosby Coastal Park, Cambridge Road, Waterloo, Liverpool, UK
Feb 1, 2025 (UTC+0)ENDED
Waterloo
The Tactical Athlete Games is a first-of-its-kind championship designed to find and crown the ultimate tactical athlete in the UK. Organized by The Red On Group, global leaders in human optimisation and experts in tactical athlete development, this event brings together elite competitors to push the boundaries of performance. Spanning across four challenging events, athletes will be tested on their strength, endurance, agility, and resilience. Unlike traditional competitions, the Tactical Athlete Games uses a unique points-based scoring system, where every second matters. Points are awarded based on how close an athlete’s finish time is to the event winner, rather than their placement in the field. This approach emphasises precision and pace, ensuring that even a fraction of a second can make the difference between victory and defeat. The scoring system is straightforward but demanding. A first-place finish earns 5,000 points, and for every second behind the winner, points diminish by one. For example, if an athlete finishes 2 minutes (120 seconds) behind the first-place time, they will receive 4,880 points. There is no points minimum, so an athlete's score can fall to zero if their time deficit is too large. The male and female athletes with the highest cumulative points across the four events will be crowned the Tactical Athlete Games Champions, earning the ultimate title along with a share of the £1,000 prize pot. With no minimum score or floor, the competition rewards consistency and speed, making every second crucial in the race for the title. The Red On Group's expertise ensures a rigorous, well-structured event, where competitors are pushed to their peak performance in a fair and exciting environment. The event dates are: EVENT 1: Endurance and Speed Event - 01 Feb 2025 EVENT 2: Work Capacity - 16 Mar 2025 EVENT 3: Strength and Power - 27 Apr 2025 EVENT 4: The Final - 29 Jun 2025

MIND OVER MATTER.Brilliant but solitary, Dr. Silas Merryweather has never been great at making ‘friends.’ But when the famed writer is struck down with a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour in the prime of his life, his devoted assistant, Harriet Jennings, decides it’s high time he do some long-awaited soul-searching.
After signing the reclusive author up for ‘Homies for Hospice,’ Frankie-Jean Wallis reluctantly enters their world. At only twelve-and-a-half, Frankie is twice as cynical as Silas, and arrives with her own deep-seated baggage, as well as a frank outlook on life and death that intrigues the ailing man. An unlikely friendship blossoms, as the two pessimists navigate a life that is ending and one that is just beginning. Described as a ‘comedy about dying,’ and inspired by the unpublished memoir of Joseph R. Distel, Head in the Game is a witty and emotional tale about the beauty of companionship in times of trouble.
