Handmade Printed Cards workshop, with Cath Brooke | Salts Works
Dec 8, 2024 (UTC+0)ENDED
Shipley
Join the Handmade Printed Cards workshop with Cath Brooke in Shipley at Salts Works on December 8, 2024. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to create up to 10 unique hand-printed cards using polystyrene 'quickprint' blocks and a variety of colors. Quickprint allows for a similar effect to linocuts, where designs are drawn into polystyrene plates. Attendees can choose to make one, two, or three color prints based on their design preferences. Participants are encouraged to bring a design idea, whether Christmas-themed or not, although a selection of images will be provided by Cath. It is recommended to wear old clothes or bring an apron as printmaking can be messy. Cath Brooke, an experienced printmaker with a background in community arts projects, will guide the workshop. All proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the People Powered Press' initiatives with community groups in the Bradford district. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the art of printmaking and contribute to a meaningful cause.
