Secrets. Lies.
Murder.
Let the festivities begin…
It’s the opening night of The Manor, the newest and hottest luxury resort, and no expense, small or large, has been spared. The infinity pool sparkles. The “Manor Mule” cocktail (grapefruit, ginger, vodka, and a dash of CBD oil) is being poured with a heavy hand. Everyone is wearing linen.
But under the burning midsummer sun, darkness stirs. Old friends and enemies circulate among the guests. Just outside the Manor’s immaculately kept grounds, an ancient forest bristles with secrets. And it’s not too long before the local police are called. Turns out the past has crashed the party, with deadly results.
THE GIRLBOSS · THE HUSBAND · THE KITCHEN HELP · THE MYSTERY GUEST
Everyone’s got a secret. Everyone’s got an agenda. But not everyone will survive…

About
The Griffin Sisters' Greatest Hits
Sisters Cassie and Zoe Grossberg were born just a year apart but could not have been more different. Zoe, blessed with charm and beauty, yearned for fame from the moment she could sing into a hairbrush. Cassie was a musical prodigy who never felt at home in her own skin and preferred the safety of the shadows.
On the brink of adulthood in the early 2000s, destiny intervened, catapulting the sisters into the spotlight as the pop sensation the Griffin Sisters, hitting all the touchstones of early aughts fame—
SNL
, MTV,
Rolling Stone
magazine—along the way.
But after a whirlwind year in the public eye, the band abruptly broke up.
Two decades later, Zoe’s a housewife; Cassie’s off the grid. The sisters aren’t speaking, and the real reason for the Griffin Sisters’ breakup is still a mystery. Zoe’s teenage daughter, Cherry, who’s determined to be a star in spite of Zoe’s warnings, is on a quest to learn the truth about what happened to the band all those years ago.
As secrets emerge, all three women must face the consequences of their choices: the ones they made and the ones the music industry made for them. Can they forgive each other—and themselves? And will the Griffin Sisters ever make music again?

About the book:
In collaboration with the Malcolm X Estate, this powerful biography for young readers is a modern classic in the making, written by #1
New York Times
-bestselling, National Book Award-winning author Ibram X. Kendi.
Published 100 years after his birth,
Malcolm Lives!
is a ground-breaking narrative biography of one of the most influential Americans of all time. Dr. Kendi expertly crafts a propulsive telling of Malcolm X’s life—from birth to death. He provides context for both Malcolm’s choices—and those around him—not just painting an intimate picture of a famous figure, but of the social and political landscape of America during the civil rights movement. Ultimately, Malcolm's true legacy is a journey toward anti-racism. Just like history, Malcolm lives. With short, evocative chapters, exclusive archival documents, photographs from the Malcolm X Collection at the NYPL Schomburg Center, and extensive backmatter,
this is a thoughtful and accessible, must-read for all Americans.

Synopsis:
Experience the enchanting journey of Wajid Ali Shah, the last Nawab of Awadh, as his life unfolds through the prism of Sufi wisdom. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century India, our dance musical delves into the opulent courts of Lucknow, where Wajid Ali Shah's passion for arts and culture flourished amidst political upheaval.
Through vibrant choreography and soul-stirring music, witness the king's quest for love, art, and spiritual enlightenment, guided by the timeless teachings of the 7 stages of Sufi love. From the ecstasy of attraction to the ultimate union with the divine, each stage illuminates Wajid Ali Shah's tumultuous yet transcendent journey.
Amidst lavish sets and breathtaking performances, our production invites audiences to immerse themselves in the richness of Indian history and the depth of Sufi philosophy. As the rhythms of dance and music intertwine, 'Satrangi Re' transports viewers on a transformative odyssey of love, longing, and liberation.
Who is this story about?
Wajid Ali Shah
, the last Nawab of Awadh, who’s transcendent journey left an indelible mark on Indian history. Renowned as an aesthetic influencer , his unwavering patronage to the realms of kathak, music, literature are unparalleled as he not only preserved these traditions but also infused them with his own creativity and innovation as a poet, dancer & playwright . Beyond his artistic endeavors, Wajid Ali Shah was a visionary leader who embraced both Hindu and Muslim traditions, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and cultural harmony. His reign witnessed a flourishing of cultural exchange and collaboration, as artists and intellectuals from diverse backgrounds converged in the vibrant courts of Awadh.
However, Wajid Ali Shah's progressive ideals and revolutionary spirit posed a threat to colonial interests. In a bid to suppress his influence, the British colonizers orchestrated his arrest and exile, fearing the power of his ideas and the strength of his leadership. Yet, even in exile, Wajid Ali Shah remained a symbol of resilience and defiance, continuing to inspire generations with his unwavering commitment to freedom, creativity, and cultural expression. His legacy endures as a testament to the enduring power of art to transcend boundaries and ignite change in the face of adversity.
What can the audience expect?
The kathak production features a diverse array of musical genres, from nostalgic melodies reminiscent of classic Bollywood to the soul-stirring strains of Thumris, Rubais and timeless Ghazals. The creative process has been a labor of love, blending traditional dance form with contemporary choreography to capture the essence of Wajid Ali Shah's royal court. From intricate Kathak sequences to expressive storytelling through movement, our dancers breathe life into history with every step. In addition to the mesmerizing performances, audiences can also expect stunning visual elements, lavish costumes, props and immersive set design that transport them to the opulent world of 19th-century Lucknow.
