Liverpool Mountain is Swiss-artist Ugo Rondinone’s first public artwork in the UK and the first of its kind in Europe. Inspired by naturally occurring Hoodoos (spires or pyramids of rock) and the art of meditative rock balancing, this 10-metre high sculpture stands within Mermaid Courtyard, outside Tate Liverpool on the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool. It consists of coloured rocks, stacked vertically which seem to defy gravity. This outdoor sculpture marks the 10th anniversary of Liverpool European Capital of Culture, the 20th anniversary of Liverpool Biennial and the 30th anniversary of Tate Liverpool. Commissioned by Liverpool Biennial and Tate Liverpool as part of the Liverpool 2018 events programme with support from Royal Albert Dock Liverpool.

Recently, the 13th Liverpool Biennial announced its theme and list of participating artists. This year's Biennial will be curated by Marie-Anne McQuay, with the theme of "Bedrock", and will be held from June 7 to September 14, 2025. The theme is not only an understanding of the sandstone geology that supports Liverpool and creates its unique architectural landscape, but also a response to the values ​​of the people embodied in Liverpool's social structure.

The very popular one day course covering the fundamental basics of Radiology I.T., including PACS, RIS and their interactions with wider clinical applications such as EPR, electronic requesting etc. The basics of HL7 and DICOM will be introduced at a level suitable for radiographers and those with minimal or no prior experience of PACS. Applications of the technology along with current hot topics will be discussed. Training is delivered by NHS PACS Managers, recognised as experts in the field. Venue: Liverpool City Centre (as always, due to the high demand and hundreds of attendees on this date, venues are allocated in groups) This subsidised non-profit course is tailored for those with an interest but minimal or no prior formal knowledge of PACS, including Radiographers, Students, PACS Administrators, I.T. Hosted at BOXPARK Liverpool, Better Places Together is a programme of collaboration and action from PLACED. Open to all, it will explore how rethinking the approach to engagement and social value can create better places for everyone. Better Places Together focuses on the crucial ‘how’ of engaging communities and less-heard groups, reflecting on ground-level experience and knowledge to rethink what constitutes best practice. A reflection session will enable participants to hear from each other and other groups, and key observations to be fed back.
