The theme of the 2024 Wuhan Biennale is "Urban Fluids". On the one hand, it uses "flow" and "fluid" to understand the water culture characteristics of Wuhan, which is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. On the other hand, it emphasizes the dynamics, diversity, innovation and sustainability of Wuhan in culture, technology, environment and ecology as a national central city under construction. Under the theme, there will be five sections: "Cultural Exploration", "Boundary Intersection", "Glimmer Exploration", "Future Coding" and "Land of Living Beings". They will be planned by well-known curators at home and abroad, including Sun Zhenhua, Lu Hong, Ji Shaofeng, Andrea Del Gurchiu (Italy), Sun Dongdong, Liu Shuchang, Zhang Ga, Bi Xin, Cao Jiamin, Wang Naiyi, etc., to deeply explore and present the diverse aspects of art.

The 15th Wuhan International Acrobatic Art Festival is jointly sponsored by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government, the Chinese Acrobats Association, and China International Culture Group Co., Ltd., and hosted by the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism. The opening performance is a high-quality evening of acrobatic programs, and the closing performance is the newly created light and shadow fantasy acrobatic drama "Phoenix Talk" by the Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe, with a total of 6 performances. During the exhibition, supporting activities such as expert review meetings and acrobatics "four advances" will also be held.
During this acrobatic art festival, 18 top acrobatics, magic, and comedy programs from 15 countries including China, Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, and Hungary will gather together to show the unique charm of acrobatic art from various countries, and also reflect the diversity and innovation of acrobatic art. The four major categories of international acrobatic art, including high-altitude programs, ground programs, magic, and comedy, will all appear in this exhibition, using the new, difficult, strange, dangerous, and beautiful acrobatic language to communicate, presenting the diverse achievements of world acrobatic art to the general public and audience, and promoting cultural exchanges and cooperation among countries.
In this Acrobatics Festival, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Shandong, Fujian and other acrobatics powerhouses have selected heavyweight representative works to participate in the exhibition, including "Wind Chasers: Men's Group Cycling Skills" by the China Acrobatic Troupe, "Monument" by the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe, "Ancient Rhythm and New Sound - Rope Skills" by the Fujian Acrobatic Troupe, "Showy·Straw Hat" by the Shandong Acrobatic Troupe, "Flowers Scattered by the Chongqing Acrobatic Art Troupe", "Setting Sail to Chase Dreams·Wave Boat" by the Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe, etc. These six programs have won the highest award of Chinese acrobatics, the "Golden Chrysanthemum Award", the outstanding program of the national acrobatics exhibition, the "Silver Clown" Award of the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, the Gold Award of the Budapest International Circus Art Festival and other international and domestic awards, representing the highest level and latest achievements of the development of acrobatics art today.
The closing performance of the Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe's new work, the light and shadow fantasy acrobatic drama "Phoenix Talk", not only emphasizes skills and plots, but also uses the innovative presentation method of "skill and art" to cleverly integrate the "new, strange, special and surprising" artistic characteristics of acrobatics with the rich emotions of struggle and struggle, dedication and sacrifice, bravery and happiness, etc., to fully interpret the story of the source of the Yangtze River civilization and bring a brand new viewing experience to the audience.
