The Advanced Performance Class offers advanced level Piano students (Levels RCM 9 and above) the opportunity to perform for some of Canada’s top adjudicators. The Advanced Performance Class with John Burge will take place over two sessions on March 22nd. For those performing Concerto pieces: no audition is required, please register for the Concerto performer ticket on Eventbrite. Performance times will be assigned by email. For solo pianists, audition is required. Please see the following for audition information: Students will choose a piece and record themselves playing the piece.The recorded video audition will be uploaded to YouTube. The YouTube link will be sent to audition@ottawasteinway.caRemember to purchase a Student Video Audition on Eventbrite.Important: For the upcoming deadline of March 8th, the audition video should have been recorded no earlier than February 8th. Students who pass the audition are invited to perform and be adjudicated by renowned concert pianists, university performance professors and artistic directors. Performance invitations will be sent out to winning students one week prior to performance with invitations to perform in person. UP TO 8 STUDENTS PER EVENT WILL BE INVITED TO PERFORM AT THE LIVE CONCERT AND RECEIVE LIVE ADJUDICATION. Concert begins at 6 pm. Students will perform back to back and will be given comments by the adjudicator at the end of the concert. All levels are welcome.
