Discover the art of linocut at the upcoming workshop, 'Inspired By Knepp,' held at Knepp Estate's Rewilding Area in Dial Post. Delve into the rewilding movement through the eyes of twelve skilled artists showcasing their creations, inspired by the Knepp rewilding project. Led by artist Lizzie Wheeler, participants will learn the intricate process of carving and printing a one-color linocut, drawing from the diverse flora and fauna of the Knepp estate. Explore designing for lino, carving various marks, and printing on handmade papers without a press. Utilizing oil-based inks for superior results, a spectrum of colors will be at your disposal. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided; however, it is advisable to wear old clothing or an apron. Individuals aged 12 and above are welcome, with a maximum of 10 participants. Please note that access to both the workshop space and gallery involves steep steps, with no wheelchair accessibility.
