The Level 2 Coach Certification is a comprehensive program that focuses on the key aspects of parkour coaching science and methodology. This intensive learning experience explores the science of expertise and learning, as well as the principles, methods, philosophies, and core concepts of parkour coaching. The course incorporates a blend of theory, group work, discussion, and practical training and coaching sessions. Participants should expect a highly engaging and active experience throughout the entire course, including evening homework assignments. To make the most out of this immersive and informative program, it is recommended to clear your schedule for the week. The certification consists of two parts: the Training Course, which spans 5 days, and the Assessments, which take place over a 2-day phase. Following the completion of the Level 2 Course, candidates have a timeframe of 3 months to 2 years to prepare for and complete the Assessment phase. This allows ample time for the course content to be absorbed, put into practice, and for the feedback of the course tutor to be implemented. Assessments can be booked separately via the designated website. As part of the certification process, participants are required to undergo a post-course self-reflection experience. This involves completing 40 reflective coaching sessions within 24 months of the course and prior to the Assessments. Evidence of these sessions must be provided during the Assessment phase. The Level 2 Coach Certification course spans 5 days, with each day starting at 09:00 and concluding at 18:00. Once you have booked your desired course, you will receive further information, including the exact address of the venue and contact details of your host and tutor. Please note that certain prerequisites must be met by all candidates, such as being 18 years of age or older, having a First Aid or recognized equivalent certification, and being able to effectively communicate in English. It is also recommended to have at least 3-5 years of parkour training experience and 1-2 years of assistant parkour coaching experience. The course structure covers various topics, including coaching techniques, movement practice, communication with learners, and injury prevention. Participants will receive a range of resources to support their learning journey, including the ADAPT Level 2 Learner Pack, ADAPT Coaching Resource Book, Assessment Materials, and Reflective Hours Coaching Log-Sheets. After completing the Level 2 Course, participants must prepare for and complete the Assessment phase within the specified timeframe. This allows for the course content to be fully absorbed and put into practice before attempting the assessments. Assessments can be booked separately via the provided website. Join this prestigious certification program and take your parkour coaching skills to the next level.
