About the Plumbing 101 workshop This workshop will explore the basics functions of water-related plumbing within a typical home. Participants will walk around our Casa Colina house to explore and discuss plumbing components such as supply lines, drains, vents, sewers, and their connections at fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and bathtubs. Discussion will focus on fundamentals of plumbing functionality, basic maintenance tips, and how to tell when a plumbing issue is DIY-friendly or requires a professional. The workshop will end with a hands-on activity. Lead Poisoning Hazard Disclaimer: All home renovation work can create a significant lead hazard if completed in a pre-1978 home. DIYD will provide Lead Poisoning Prevention resources to any workshop attendee living in a pre-1978 home. About Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops: Do It Yourself Darlin (DIYD) hosts educational, hands-on home repair workshops for new and veteran homeowners, renters, and everyone in between. The program aims to empower anyone and everyone to feel comfortable and confident understanding the components that make up a house while learning home repair and tool use skills along the way. The Black & White Party with Dominique Hammons & Ric Sexton is set to take place in Cincinnati at COVE 51 located at 11473 Chester Road. The event will be held on June 14, 2025. In this class students will make their very own wood and epoxy "Mini River" Tray that can be used as a serving board, charcuterie board, or as a wonderful display piece of custom art. Students will cut their own unique "river" shape using the wood provided for the class. Students will be using the Rockler Rectangular Silicone mold for their project. Then the real fun stuff begins, students will mix up their own deep pour epoxy and choose from the many colors of pigment provided in the class. Students will pour epoxy into the molds and swirl their own unique designs in the epoxy. After the epoxy has cured and hardened, our instructor will then surface the boards. Students will be able to come and pick up their boards and finish them at home or they will have the option of paying a $35 classroom fee to come and finish their boards in the classroom on another date that works best for them.
