Glorious Cotswold Grasslands is a project run by the Cotswold National Landscape tasked with restoring wildflower grasslands throughout the Cotswolds AONB. Since 2019 we have restored nearly 500 hectares! Join our team at one of our fantastic donor seed meadows to learn all about the wildflowers and grasses that can be found there. The morning session will focus on learning how to identify a wide variety of wildflowers typical of calcareous grasslands. We will then spend the afternoon learning how to identify a few calcareous indicator grasses and consolidating what we've learnt by carrying out some botanical surveys of the site. The price of the course includes tea/coffee & biscuits and printed handouts. Participants will need to bring their own water and lunch.
