Speed Dating in Norwich for 20s & 30s | Be At One - Norwich
Jul 8, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Norwich
How Speed Dating Works in Norwich
When you arrive at the Norwich venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table. Once the ladies are seated the gentlemen will be asked to proceed to their first date.
You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up and for the gentlemen to move to their next date. Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again and also short enough if you don't.
At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated. This is something to help jog your memory for the post event matching process the next day.
Half way through the event you will have an interval break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. Please remember to take your dating card home with you to assist you in entering in your ticks and potential matches.
Post Event
No later than 11am the following morning our matching system will be unlocked for you to enter your ticks from the previous evening. You have all day to tick as many people as you like from the night before. We guarantee you will find someone you will want to see again, otherwise we will give you your next

Norfolk - Building Confidence in Anaesthesia with Veterinary Anursethesia | Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort
Jul 9, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Norwich
Building Confidence in Anaesthesia with Veterinary Anursethesia
Understanding the fundamentals of anaesthesia monitoring will not only boost your confidence, but will also serve as a foundation for future skills and concepts.
Monitoring your patients' physiological parameters is similar to putting puzzle pieces together; it is critical to understand how they all fit together to form a bigger picture so that any abnormalities can be identified and troubleshooted. Because many diseases, anaesthetic drugs, and surgical procedures have different effects on our patients, no two anaesthetics will be the same.
This day will provide you with a thorough understanding of how to monitor your patient throughout their entire anaesthesia experience, whether you are newly qualified, returning to work, or simply looking to improve your knowledge.
Over the day, we will cover:
The P doesn’t mean Panic:
Easy ECGS
Deep breath:
Capnography made Easy
Say ah:
Airways and Breathing Systems
Anaesthetic drugs:
Patient Effects
Squeeze!
Blood Pressure Monitoring
Wake me up before you go-go:
Recovery
All delegates will receive a printed booklet of comprehensive notes and the PowerPoints for the day.
Join us on Wednesday, 8th July 2025, at the Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in NR14 8PQ. The day starts at 9.30am and runs until 5.30pm.
Your Speaker:
Courtney Scales DipVN NCert(Anaesth) PgCertVAA RVN
Courtney is originally from New Zealand, where she trained and qualified. She began her career in veterinary nursing in 2007 and worked in multiple clinics in New Zealand before moving to Australia in 2015 to pursue her passion for anaesthesia.
In 2016, she moved to the United Kingdom, where she most recently worked as an Anaesthesia Registered Veterinary Nurse at the Royal Veterinary College and also as a Clinical Educator in Anaesthesia for Burtons Academy. Courtney now works for Davies Veterinary Specialists.
Courtney started Veterinary A
nurse
thesia on various social media platforms throughout her studies and career to share anaesthesia tips with the veterinary community. She has written several journal articles and textbook chapters and enjoys face-to-face speaking about the practical side of anaesthesia monitoring in practice, at CPD events and national congresses.

Not just an income diversification workshop | Norwich Central Baptist Church
Jul 10, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Norwich
Who should attend?
For leaders and board members responsible for fundraising and income generation.
This is not just an income diversification workshop
The is the first of three income workshops in July.
Charities and even social enterprises are facing the double perils of reducing income and increasing need. Many consider the possibility of diversifying income but aren't always sure where to start or what the options are.
It's time to delay no longer and take this first step to explore your options and put some structure and first steps around your ideas.
You'll leave this workshop with more ideas than when you started and closer to organisational sustainability.
Event Details:
Date:
10th July 2025
Time:
9.30am - 1pm with tea and coffee
Location:
Duke Street Baptist Church, Norwich, NR3 3AP
Outcomes from attending will include:
Increased understanding of how to start diversifying
Improved clarity on the income generating options
Improved understanding of the pros and cons of different revenue models
Improved understanding of the considerations in deciding to diversify your income and how this shapes your organisation
A bit more about my values
.
Inclusive
- it’s in the name of the facilitation I use because to include is to listen, to arrive at better results and to believe all the voices have both equal worth and are worth making adjustments to hear.
Positive
- this means exploring and naming the things people and organisations do well so that you can do more of them. Honesty too about changes that can be made - but never bashing or undermining a brilliant sector.
Solution-focussed
because that’s what’s needed in a frantically busy sector facing huge challenges and increasing need in communities deserving of answers.
Equitable
because I believe in treating you as we should be treating those you support - as an equal whose lived experience is of equal worth, needs to be heard and is a vital part of finding solutions.
Pragmatic
because having walked the walk I live in the real world, not in an ivory tower with ideas that won’t work for you.
Enterprising
means finding new ideas and solutions that work for you, your values and those of the organisation and its community. I will always be thoughtful about this and not attempt to crowbar solutions from elsewhere and assure they will work for you in your setting.

Jul 11, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Norwich
SNAKEMILK are releasing their debut EP. Join the slop.
Hot off the heels of Hobanana, the full EP is coming 11 July.
Scuzzy slide guitar, rumbling synthesizer, and pounding jungle drums, all raw and crunchy. Formed in Norwich, but channelling somewhere unhinged, they’re ready to slop everywhere.
Their sound fuses the early 2000s garage rock revival with elements of psychobilly, delta blues, and 90s alt-country.
They’re always fuzzy, always thumping, and are on their way to burning down the house, the village, the country, and next, the world.
