A leisurely family friendly cycle ride using trailer accessible paths and quiet roads. We'll start and finish from the 508 Cafe situated next to the children's play area in Wollaton Park (near the Wollaton Road entrance and car park, see Google pin here). We'll be out for 1-2 hours and we'll go at your pace, with plenty of time for snack stops. This ride is suitable for all abilities and we welcome those who'd like to gain cycling confidence. We particularly want to support mums and non-binary parents to cycle with their children, but we recognise that sometimes having someone else there to support you can be really helpful, so this event is open to all genders. Whether this is your first time riding in a while, or with children, or you just want to get out and meet others, we welcome everyone. The ride will be led by Emily and Abi, experienced ride leaders and first aiders, who take a patient and inclusive approach to cycling. This event is part of Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival project. We will be collecting names and email addresses of participants to share with Cycling UK who will survey participants after the event. Survey responses help show the benefit of free support for cycling, helping to provide evidence to funders which in turn helps fund more free events.
