Welcome to the Annual United Sport & Cycle Hockey Demo Day. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever with a Player Demo as well as a Goalie Demo! Register to join us on Sunday June 1, 2025 at Knights of Columbus Twin Rinks and demo the latest technology in hockey equipment, chat all things hockey with Supplier Representatives from Bauer, Brian's, CCM, True, Sparx, Sherwood, Warrior and Vaughn. Of course we will have plenty of United Staff on hand to help answer questions and assist with fitting the gear right. This year we are super excited to partner up with our friends at Serdachny Power Skating to conduct sessionson the players side, and back again on the ice this year is our friends ATC Goaltending on the goalie side. Each goalie will enjoy their own goal and an instructor from ATC Goaltending for their 40 minute time slot and for the Players, they will go through a series of 4 skill stations with an instructor from Serdachny Power Skating during their 40 min time slot. Within that 40 minute slot each player and goalie will be given the opportunity to try out as much gear as they like while working with their own coach/group. For The Players During your 40 minute session you'll have the opportunity to demo over 60 different sticks, skates and gloves to try on from your favorite brands. FAQ What are the workshop levels? The workshops are open to all levels of dancers, but some exposure to these styles is required to get the most out of the training. The instructors will provide techniques/variations tailored to each student's current level to ensure everyone is appropriately challenged. What to bring for footwear? Latin Dance shoes are recommended, but not required. Any clean pair of shoes that is comfortable and not grippy on the floor will work. For newer dancers, we recommend wearing comfortable flats with a non-sticky sole that you can dance in for multiple hours (Fuego sneakers, Taygra sneakers, leather soled ballet flats, suede soled jazz shoes, and Toms are all great options). You may also choose to dance in socks if you do not yet have appropriate footwear. What to wear? Workout outfits are typically what people wear to the daytime workshops, but other outfits may be appropriate as long as they are comfortable enough to dance in (not too tight, not too short, not too warm, allows you to move your arms, hips, torso, and rest of the body easily, not a tripping hazard, etc.). No outdoor shoes inside the studio. Bring a clean pair of indoor shoes (non-marking) to ensure we do not damage the studio's floor. What should I bring for food? Who's revved up for our next event? Our inaugural W.R.E.V.S. event was amazing and we can't wait to do it again! We'll meet at the picnic sites at 11a.m. to stretch and warm-up, then set out on the Riverside Trail from AllTrails at 11:15. Volunteers to help set up the picnic area at 10:30 a.m. are always appreciated! The path we chose has both paved path running and trail running, with the trail suitable for jogging strollers and bikes as well. Go at your own pace to finish the loop which ends at the picnic area just in time for lunch! Spend the rest of the day, sharing food, vibing to tunes played by DJ Elvis Prime, socializing and hopefully making new friends! We'll organize some games for the kids and there is a playground adjacent to the picnic area, as well as paddle boats for rent! The full list of park amenities here.
