Join us for this important and timely half-day conference on
Building Resilience in Schools: Supporting Pupil and Teacher Wellbeing
organised by the National Association for Pastoral Care in Education (NAPCE) in association with Stranmillis University College, Belfast.
In today’s schools, resilience is more important than ever, for both pupils and teachers. Our children and young people are navigating increasing pressures around academic performance, social media and mental health, while teachers face growing workloads and emotional demands. Building resilience isn’t just about coping; it’s about creating school cultures where wellbeing is prioritised, relationships are strengthened, and everyone feels supported to thrive. This conference offers a space to reflect, learn, and share practical strategies that can make a real difference in fostering more compassionate, resilient school communities.
The programme features keynote addresses, including from NI Children's Commissioner Chris Quinn, and showcases best practice from local NAPCE award winners. A range of academic and professional speakers will share insights and strategies to support pastoral care and mental health in school communities. The event will conclude with a panel discussion chaired by Phil Jones, UK Chair of NAPCE. An essential event for educators committed to creating supportive, resilient learning environments.
Last year’s conference was sold out and numbers are again limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. The conference is priced at £15 for delegates (free for NAPCE members – see
NAPCE website
for details of how to join). Final programme details will be confirmed soon.

At The Dating Company,
we love creating a fun, safe space for singles to meet.
What better way than a singles party mixer to meet new faces, make new friends, and maybe even spark something special?
In a world where online dating often feels impersonal - and let's face it - we're bored of the dating apps too... we’re creating a space for genuine connections. Imagine that... no ghosting, no fake profiles, no filters! This is your chance to meet like-minded people in a relaxed, no-pressure setting where conversation flows as easily as the drinks.
There’ll be no cheesy games, just great music, a buzzing bar filled with singles, and a great night's craic! The atmosphere will be informal mingling, not speed dating.
The event is for heterosexual singles and will host approximately 100 guests, offering a well-balanced mix of ages and an even ratio of men and women.
The event will take place at Onyx Nightclub @ House Belfast, in a private area separate from the public. There are stairs to the event space with no lift access.
Nervous? Don’t Be!
Most of our guests come solo, and our friendly hosts will be on hand to help with introductions if you need a little nudge.
If you feel a connection but want to avoid the awkwardness of asking for someone’s number, we’ve got you covered! Grab a
Call Me Card
