Raymond Lam's 2025 Hong Kong Coliseum Concert "Go With The Flow" will be held at the Hong Kong Coliseum from May 23 to 25. "Chen Fushan Studio" uses Chen Fushan's home studio as a reference, and selects his personal belongings from his former residence in Wan Chai, including various household furnishings, hand-painted paintings and collections of books for display, in order to reproduce Chen's living environment and the layout when he was painting. Visitors can take a look at the original appearance of his former creative space outside the glass room, explore Chen's creative world with another visual experience, and gain a deeper understanding of the multiple aspects of this local artist. "Chen Fushan Studio" also leads the audience to review Chen's artistic journey and style development by displaying historical photos and text records about Chen's life, and wander in the story that created the legendary life of the "Watercolor King". Canton Modernpresents twentieth-century Cantonese art and visual culture in its full complexity as an important chapter in global modernism. United in a shared linguistic and cultural identity, the southern port cities of Guangzhou (also known as Canton) and Hong Kong were historically marginal in China. The birthplace of revolution, the two cities gave rise to a distinctive visual and artistic modernism, one shaped by cross-cultural interactions and tensions between conservative and progressive artworlds. Cantonese artists broke away from the elegant poetics of classical ink painting to forge a socially oriented realism, depicting subjects ranging from leisure and labour to war and disaster. Representing Hong Kong in a Collateral Event at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Trevor Yeung returns to M+ with a new configuration of his commissioned solo exhibition, Trevor Yeung: Courtyard of Attachments, Hong Kong in Venice. Yeung’s installations explore the relationships between human and aquatic ecosystems and comment on the emotional disconnections and power dynamics of contemporary society. Restaged in a museum setting, the exhibition shifts focus to discuss larger environmental and systemic issues. This response exhibition is part of the sixth collaboration between M+ and Hong Kong Arts Development Council on Hong Kong’s presentation during the Biennale.

And Thus Is This Land extends this collaborative process into the present. It asks participants to engage with each other, the artist, the original painters, and the poem that sparked this chain of creative work. They will navigate the tension between copying and adaptation, arriving at a work that both resembles the original yet is also wholly new.
