Austin Kiln Club is now offering mini workshops so we can get together and play with clay. We will be hosting folks in our cozy home studio a few times a month. These mini workshops are opportunities to try out something new in a casual setting in a quick, easy, and simplified way. This week we will be making illustated jewelry dishes with commerically printed underglaze transfers. These cute little dishes can be used to burn incense cones, display crystals and herbs, hold favorite trinkets, or just spruce up your space. Get ready to design the future at our Summer Fashion Innovation Camp! This five-day experience introduces students to cutting-edge tools and techniques shaping today’s fashion industry. Campers will explore 3D visualization, pattern making, garment construction, and fashion technology—including an introduction to AI in fashion. Each participant will design and construct their own custom handbag using both digital and hands-on methods. In collaboration with the Make It Center, students will dive into 3D technology and 3D print buttons for their bags! No prior experience is needed—just creativity and curiosity! The camp also includes a Dual Credit Information Session, where students and families can learn how to earn college credit through Austin Community College’s fashion programs. The week concludes with a showcase celebrating student creations. The ATX Short Film Showcase is Austin's monthly film festival. Every month, we curate 8 local short films, followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers. Whether you're interested in learning about the filmmaking process, looking to network with fellow Texas filmmakers, or just want a fun night of entertainment, come check us out!
