Loge Ultrajectina organiseert regelmatig activiteiten voor belangstellenden, zoals een gastlezing, een open avond om een eerste indruk van vrijmetselarij te ervaren of een vrijblijvend persoonlijk gesprek. De volgende gelegenheid is gepland op 24 februari 2025 (inloop vanaf 19.30 uur, aanvang 20.00 uur) met gastspreker JanPieter van Lieshout. Onderwerpen die aan de orde komen zijn dans, beweging en persoonlijke groei. Dansmeester JanPieter van Lieshout publiceerde in 2017 zijn autobiografie 'van ballroom tot boardroom'. De titel van dit boek mag letterlijk worden genomen. Zijn huidige werk richt zich namelijk op teams uit het bedrijfsleven, publiek domein, zorg, onderwijs en NGO's. In deze gastlezing vertelt hij hoe de dans hem op jonge leeftijd begeesterde en hoe hij de switch maakte van amateur naar professional en van een succesvolle dansschoolhouder tot een internationaal gevraagde trainer/inspirator in teambuilding. JanPieter zal uitleggen hoe hij de Sensedance methode en de workshops DanceScan en TeamScan ontwikkelde en welke resultaten daarmee worden bereikt. Indien wij -zijn toehoorders- dit wensen, dan zal hij ons ook in beweging brengen. De avond wordt mede georganiseerd om geïnteresseerden kennis te laten maken met Loge Ultrajectina. Wat wellicht op zal vallen is dat vrijmetselaren proberen niet te discussiëren, maar compareren. Wat dat is? I like bluegrass but know nothing about public records. Is this show for me? Definitely. The musical line-up is incredible, so you'll be happy. Filmmaker, muzikant maar vooral geboren verteller Leon Giesen kan als geen ander stilstaan bij zaken waar de meeste mensen, op het eerste gezicht totaal terecht, straal aan voorbij lopen. Hij daarentegen gaat op onderzoek en ontdekt de wonderlijkste dingen. Die deelt hij weer in Mondo Leone (De Wereld van Leon). Een even vanzelfsprekende als unieke combinatie van film, muziek en natuurlijk verhaal. Als documentairemaker won hij een televisieprijs: ‘Het Gouden Beeld’, voor zijn film 'Van America helemaal naar Amerika’, over Rowwen Hèze. Hij liet dit vergulde beeldje in plakken zagen en creëerde zo zijn eigen prijs: ‘Het Gouden Randje’. Voor mensen die, zonder dat iemand er om gevraagd had, geprobeerd hebben de wereld een beetje mooier te maken. Een ‘Gouden Randje’ ging naar het prachtige akkoord dat treinen in Amerika toeteren. Een ander naar het werk van Ben Wilson die in Londen, op plakjes kauwgom op de stoep, miniatuurschilderijtjes maakt. Maar ook andere verrassende en soms ontroerende initiatieven werden door Leon Giesen op zijn eigen manier geëerd.
