Course Overview
This course is designed for workers that will be conducting low, moderate and high-risk asbestos operations. Those who successfully complete the course will receive the Alberta Labour Asbestos Worker Certification 
In this course you will learn about:
Uses and common types of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in buildings
Health effects of asbestos exposure
Legislation
Hazard Assessment
Air and Bulk Sampling
Other hazards associated with asbestos removal
PPE
Low Risk
Moderate Risk
High Risk
This course also includes:
A “hands-on” practical exercise using a glove bag
A table top exercise in the design and set up of a high risk containment
Proof of Training
Upon completing this course, each participant is provided with a certificate as proof of the training.
