Natural Wreath Making | Cotesbach Educational Trust

Natural Wreath Making | Cotesbach Educational Trust

Dec 1, 2025 (UTC+1)
Lutterworth
Christmas Celebration
Learn how to make your own festive door wreath from locally foraged materials. Unlike many other wreath classes, you will start from scratch by first making the hoop, and then decorating it with your choice of foliage and natural decorative elements. Much of the foliage is foraged from around the Cotesbach Estate.  The wreaths are biodegradable, with the exception of the wire and ribbon, which can be re-used. No experience is necessary, you will be guided through every step of the process, in a small, friendly and informal group setting. Ticket includes mulled wine or hot drink on arrival. Connecting through textiles - material memories | Cotesbach Educational Trust

Arts Craft
This workshop uses a playful and exploratory approach as a way of reflecting on and creating dialogue about the things we keep and the memories which they hold. Starting with an array of old fabrics, artist Jacqui Gallon will introduce simple, ordinary techniques - weaving, braiding, knotting, tying, twisting - as methods which resonate through their 'everydayness' to show how these can transform old textiles/haberdashery into new objects which still retain a sense of recollection, of memory of the past and the textile archive from which the fabrics were sourced. The workshop aims to create a space in which connections between each other and with the past are encouraged, a space where we can exchange stories as affirmation of what it means to be human. This reciprocal exchange of stories is a form of gifting. You will take home an object, perhaps abstract in form, made from bits and pieces from the textile archive at Cotesbach, an object which holds not only the history of the house but also the memory of the act of making and connection. All materials and equipment will be provided. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to try new ways of making and share material memories. There will be time for lunch, you can either bring your own or head to the on site Cafe 'The Yard Cafe' and enjoy some delicious homemade food. For just £10+ VAT you’ll get refreshments, a brilliant new set of contacts and the warmest of welcomes. With new people every month and a huge buzz in the room you’re sure to make some great connections; we believe the more you chat, the more business just happens. We meet every 4th Wenesday of the month between 10 am and 12 pm at the same venue. While you can book on the day, we ask that you purchase your ticket before you set off on your journey. This makes it much easier to check you in and get you to the coffee as soon as possible! How it works When you come to a Buzz you’ll be welcomed by the Buzz team, shown where the coffee is and introduced to some of the other attendees. We’re here if you need further introductions to more guests, but you’ll find that everyone is really friendly and you can easily move around conversations to network as you like. The focus is open networking and easy-going conversations so that more business happens between our attendees easily. At roughly 11 am there is a short announcement section and you’ll find out who is in the room to help facilitate more connections. Information Source: Business Buzz | eventbrite
