Bellingham
This is the story of an adventurous squirrel, Wonky Willy, who lives in the forest. Although life in the wild isn't easy, with his new friends, Isabella and her dog, Annie, he thrives. Then one evening, a dark shadow sweeps out of the trees toward him. Will Isabella be able to save him? Will Willy ever make it home again? Kerry Claire was born in Vancouver, BC. Although she worked as a nurse practitioner for much of her life, animals have always been her passion. Wonky Willy is a tribute to a little injured squirrel she and her husband came to know and admire one summer. It is her first children's book. She lives in Washington State with her husband and their collie, Annie. Motoko Lewis was born in Japan and studied printmaking and drawing at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Studying art was one of her childhood wishes; another was to connect with animals. She fulfilled the latter through small animal massage and various canine training programs. Motoko currently resides in Blaine, WA with her husband and two dogs.
