The family dynamics were challenging, I served time in the military, and ultimately never felt like I belonged. Coming to the states in 2001, movement became my refuge. I’ve been a 5Rhythms practitioner for over 20 years and I’ve been a teacher of the practice for the past 8 years. The 5Rhythms is a movement meditation practice where we dance and put form to the many layers of our lives. Through the portal of the dance, we invite ourselves to process, release and discover insight and connection. I’ve been fortunate to study with Gabrielle Roth, the founder of the 5Rhythms as well as many of her peers and long time students, who are now teachers. In many ways, holding space for people to find their truth through the body in motion has been my life purpose. I hope we get the chance to dance together.
