Live Active Sport, in partnership with Perth & Kinross ADHD Support Group, is hosting a free ADHD awareness in sport course, specifically for PACES clubs. Who should attend Anyone involved in a sporting role, coaches, volunteers, club administrators, participants etc aged 16 years and over. Note the PACES tiers below for free places do not apply to this course. Clubs can register delegates until all places are filled. Course duration Online ADHD learning module (1 hour) In person workshop (3 hours) Participants will receive the online learning module link, one week before the course workshop start date. Topics covered online What is ADHD Co-conditions Behaviour categories ADHD strengths Topics covered in the workshop Understanding ADHD in a sporting context Strategies for inclusion / participation in sport Club / coaching scenarios Being an ADHD friendly club Certification Participants who complete the online learning and attend the in person workshop will receive a certificate of completion and a digital badge for the club to display on club social media / website. PACES All clubs that are accredited through the Perth and Kinross Accredited Club Excellence Scheme (PACES) will receive free spaces on all of Live Active Sport's courses, based on the tiers below: • Gold: 3 free places per course • Silver: 2 free places per course • Bronze: 1 free place per course Discover more about PACES and how it could benefit your club HERE. This training is suitable for all adults involved in sports organiations that have participants under 18 years old. It is targeted at all coaches and volunteers working directly with children and young people. The training gives an insight into the issues and legal matters surrounding child wellbeing and protection in sport as well as giving practical guidance for clubs. Participants MUST complete an online module (module 1 - approx 45 mins) which is theory-based before applying for the face to face learning (Module 2 - a 3 hour course). The CWPS eLearning module is delivered via sportscotlands online platform Brightspace. https://learninginsport.brightspace.com/d2l/login When you have confirmed your booking, sportscotland will be in touch with you to provide you with a specific log in and password for brightspace so you can complete the online module prior to the start of the CWPS course.
