The St. James has partnered with the Interstate Athletic Conference (“IAC”) and the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference (“MAC”) to host a post-season, All-Star soccer showcase event on The St. James campus. This special match features top male high school soccer players from the IAC and MAC leagues, who will participate in a “Best with Best” showcase match in front of family, friends, peers, and media invited to the event. The All-Star match will be played in The St. James Field House on Wednesday, November 20 at 8:30PM. The St. James is located off of Backlick Road in the Springfield Industrial Park area at 6850 Industrial Road, Springfield, Virginia 22151. The Annual Lake Accotink Park Beaver Boogie Run Walk is set to take place on November 30, 2024, at Lake Accotink Park in Springfield. This event, organized by Friends of Lake Accotink Park (FLAP), aims to raise funds to support various programs and projects at the park. As a certified 501(c)3 non-profit program dedicated to the preservation and education about the natural, historical, and cultural resources of Lake Accotink Park, FLAP is committed to protecting and restoring the park. Participants can sign up for the event with a ticket price of $25, with 100% of the proceeds directly contributing to the initiatives at Lake Accotink Park. The event includes a 5k fun run/walk, starting at 10am, after the packet pick-up opens at 9am.
