Appropriately, closely following 2024's election day, Richard Beck will be speaking on his recent release, Homeland: The War on Terror in American Life . This book explores the myriad of ways that the war on terror has impacted almost every aspect of American life, from airport security to television programs to the erosion of citizenship. Quinn Slobodian, historian and professor at BU, will be joining Richard as moderator in this conversation. Together, they will delve into what the American experience looks like today, and how it has shifted throughout the throes of history. Homeland strives to contextualize our modern experience through the acknowledgement of all that has come before it. Richard will be signing copies of Homeland following his discussion and Q&A.
