The Firecrest Mountain Biking Rider Development Programme (RDP) known as Adult DeVo for short at Rushmere Country Park is your chance to join a group skills course for riders aged 18 years and over focussed on mountian bike skills development using a range of trails. Firecrest Mountain Biking's Skills Training is underpinned by 'The System' our proven akills training methods which supports our 'holistic approach' to MTB skills development. 'The System' enables us to work with you and give you an insight into 'why to do' things over 'how to do' them. This in turn gives you a unique perspective on developing your skills and how to improve your riding when your out on the trails. This Group Course will enable you to access Firecrest MTB Skills Training at a significantly reduced cost. It is a chance to join a training group aimed at enabling you to achieve your skills goals. This course is ideal for riders new to Firecrest MTB skills courses and riders that have previously had MTB skills training with Firecrest MTB. The course will cover an introduction to the 'The System' and then a training on a range of ' Trail Features'. Including but not limited to; jumps, drops, corners, and technical sections showing how you can use 'The System' to optimise your bike setup, mindset, and skills when riding. 'The System' will enable you to understand how to optimise your riding and easily identify areas that you need to focus on as you develop your skills. Tapping into our experience will give you the knowledge and confidence needed to 'fast track' the improvements to make those gains that will have you riding faster with more confidence. Running from 9.30am - 12.30pm on Sunday 24th November The Girls DeVo Courses at Rushmere Country Park will get you riding your Mountain Bike with more confidence. This course is a great opportunity to meet likeminded young female riders and progress your personal riding skills. From getting faster on the trails at Rushmere Park through to racing at Local, Regional and National Competitions we can help you acheive your goals. For young female mountain bikers coming through our programme of Mountain Bike Skills Courses they build on the skills taught on the Level1, DeVo Evo and Level2 Courses. All the Training Courses Firecrest run provide an insight into the Mountain Bike Skills Essentials that enable you to get the most from your Mountain Bike. Firecrest MTB’s Girls DeVo Mountain Bike Skills Courses will be using all the trails on Rushmere Park from the Pumptrack to Ridge Riders Gravity Trails. All the training is given under the watchful eye of Firecrest MTB’s highly experienced staff providing expert tuition. We Make Footballers are hosting a Talent Identification Event in the Benfleet Area on the 30/11/2024 . Scouts from a number of professional clubs will watch the event via a VEO camera. This is an opportunity for local players to find pathways into professional clubs. The event is available for children in school year groups Reception,Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3. Session available: - 15:00pm-16:00pm All parents in attendance will be able to stay and watch their children having fun and playing football! PLEASE WEAR TRAINERS OR ASTROS AS THE SESSION WILL TAKE PLACE INDOORS NO MOULDED OR METAL STUDS ARE ALLOWED The event will be run by our fantastic We Make Footballers coaching team, who are all FA qualified and have a valid DBS certificate. Players will start with a ball manipulation warm up and then take part in 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 matches. The scouts will contact talented players after the event. Please note, scouts will not attend the event in person, they will watch the event via a VEO camera and contact talented players. WHAT ARE TALENT ID EVENTS? We Make Footballers organise Talent ID events to give talented players the chance to play in front of football scouts from top level clubs, as well as coaches from other local teams. Our hope is to give players the chance to find a pathway into club football, whether that be for a professional academy or a grassroots club. Professional clubs across the UK are using Talent ID Events as their main source of scouting these days, as it saves time and gives scouts the chance to see more players each year. Firecrest MTB has been training gravity racers for over 26 years and has worked with some of the world's fastest racers to improve their results at regional, national, and international races. We will train you to ride faster and enable you to race with more confidence, which will ultimately help you move up the timesheets and achieve your racing goals. Course Details This course is for experienced mountain bikers aged 12 to 18 years old looking to develop their downhill and enduro mountain bike racing skills. The course at Rushmere Park will help you race your mountain bike with more confidence and speed. The training will focus on advanced riding techniques and the gravity disciplines of Enduro and Downhill, utilizing our Freelap Timing System to simulate races and accurately measure riders' times and subsequent improvements from the coaching sessions. Each rider will have access to their own Freelap Timing Chip throughout the day, meaning that all your runs are timed, allowing you to measure and see your run times and where and how you're improving. This course is also a great opportunity to meet like-minded racers and progress your racing skills—from learning to carry more speed on the trails to getting the most out of a race at local, regional, national, and international competitions.
