Chris Russell grew up in Goring and is now a published author, on the verge of completing his sixth book. In 2024, his debut adult novel PRETTY LITTLE THING was released under the pseudonym Kit Duffield and became an instant Amazon bestseller. The book, a creepy psychological thriller that sits somewhere between Gillian Flynn and Shirley Jackson, tells the story of a young woman who returns to her hometown after years away and meets a complete stranger claiming to be her childhood best friend. Chris is also a founding member of pop/rock band The Lightyears, who formed at Langtree School and have gone on to tour the world, share a stage with members of Queen and The Who and perform at Wembley Stadium and Glastonbury – and of course Goring & Streatley’s very own Gap Festival!
