Discover the exciting sport of epee fencing with Nova Fencing Club at the Beginner Fencing Lessons event in St. Albert. Taking place from February 21, 2024, to April 17, 2024, this eight-week program is designed for beginners who want to learn the art of fencing. Please note that there will be no class on March 27.
During the one-hour group lesson, participants will engage in various activities such as warm-up exercises, footwork drills, blade work techniques, and structured bouting. After the lesson, fencers can also enjoy general open bouting with other participants.
Nova Fencing Club provides all the necessary equipment, including protective gear, weapons, and scoring equipment. Additionally, participants will receive a Participant Membership with the Alberta Fencing Association, as it is a requirement for joining the program.
This event is open to anyone interested in learning fencing, regardless of their previous experience. Even if you have only encountered a garden gnome in your backyard, you can still join and have a great time! All ages are welcome, from teens to seasoned adults. However, please note that participants must be over the age of 16.
