Beyond Skate is excited to announce the Girls/Ladies Only Mills Park Skateboard Clinics taking place this summer at Mills Park Skatepark in Beckenham. These clinics are designed specifically for girls and ladies who are interested in getting into skateboarding or continuing their skateboarding journey. Whether you're a first-time skateboarder or already have some experience, these clinics are suitable for all skill levels. During the clinics, participants will receive instruction on the basic skills of skateboarding. For those who have already participated in previous clinics, there will be reinforcement and opportunities to further develop their skills. All ages are welcome, and if you don't have your own skateboard or helmet, don't worry! We have skateboards and helmets available for use. To secure your spot, pre-registration is essential. We have limited spots available, so if you find that you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to allow someone from the waiting list to take your place. If you arrive without pre-registering and the event is at full capacity, we unfortunately won't be able to accommodate you. For the safety of all participants, we ask that you regularly wash your hands and use the hand sanitizer provided. If you're feeling unwell, including symptoms such as a runny nose or sore throat, please stay at home. During the clinics, we encourage maintaining social distancing whenever possible. In case of any weather or event postponements, we will notify registered participants at least 60 minutes before the scheduled start time via email and our social media networks. Join Tooting Run Club as they embark on completing the famous LonDone, visiting all Parkruns in Greater London. This Parkrun Touristing event aims to visit each Parkrun in Greater London, with the goal of doing one a month on the final Saturday. The plan is to work through them all alphabetically. Please note that Parkrun is not a TRC event; this booking is simply to gather an idea of attendee numbers and assist with travel arrangements and post-run social activities. For those interested in traveling with Tooting Run Club from Tooting, the meeting point is outside Tooting Bec Tube station at 07:15. From there, the group will take the Northern Line to Stockwell and change to the northbound Victoria Line. After arriving at Victoria station, the plan is to board a train to Beckenham Junction and then walk/jog for approximately 10 minutes to the start line. Further information can be found on the Beckenham Place parkrun website. For a post-run coffee, participants can choose between the two cafes in the park: the basement of the mansion or the recently restored Homestead block.
