Trail & Flow Yoga Hike | High Park Nature Centre
Yoga
Sports & Fitness
Join us in historical High Park for Trail & Flow as we hike the trails and immerse ourselves in nature with mindful movement! We will hike 5 km of nature filled trails, periodically stopping to practice yoga poses that enhance flexibility, strength, and balance. We will start our journey with a few moments of yoga breathwork and standing movements to lengthen and connect with our surroundings. We will then move through the trails of High Park, enjoying the signs, sounds and smells of Spring. Midway we will stop for yoga movements that will focus on areas that are in use while we hike (hip flexors, hamstrings and the spine). Finally, we will end our hike with some delicious closing stretches and a final grounding meditation on the mat. This fusion of mindful movement and nature immersion offers a range of benefits, including improved flexibility, increased mental clarity, stress reduction, and enhanced cardiovascular health. By focusing on breath control and alignment, yoga hiking also helps to build strength, improve posture, and promote a deeper connection with nature, leaving participants feeling refreshed, grounded, and rejuvenated. Come nourish your joints and mind, and set your week with some fresh air and beautiful outdoor scenery!
