The Funky Easel is a Sip & Paint experience that will light you up & unearth your inner artistic creativity! It’s an experience which offers you the opportunity to unwind, have fun with friends (or on your own) and do something completely different, whilst enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple! The doors open at 6pm to allow you time to order drinks and food if fancy a nibble before or after our session which starts is on Thursday 28th October 2024 at 6.30-8.30pm Painting the Moon Stag You will be led by Becca a professional artist, guiding you step by step through the process, offering individual tips and guidance, to create a finished work of art to take home at the end of the evening. No experience is necessary, and all artistic abilities are welcomed. All materials are also provided for painting. Whether you’re looking for an alternative date night or a ladies/ gent’s night out, The Funky Easel’s Sip and Paint is the perfect choice. Come & express yourself, creating a masterpiece you’ll be proud of. Our focus is on you having a great time! We will be hosting this event at The Wine Boutique on the Quay, upstairs from Bistro on the Quay (opposite Mariners’ Restaurant). If you fancy a bite on the night The Bistro on the Quay offers a bistro style menu with a modern French twist, in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. This is a unique painting adventure to experience whilst savouring your favourite drink & maybe a little nibble afterwards. (The Menu is below if you'd like to order food ahead of time.) Who for? Our Learn to Ride course is designed specifically for children aged 4-10 years old who would like to learn how to ride a bike with pedals. It is recommended that 4 year old's attend our Balance Bike course prior to attending this course. Course Description The course (4 x 1 hour sessions) will give children the skills and confidence required to ride a bike with pedals independently. The course will teaches children how to: Fit a helmetMount & dismount the bikeBalanceSteerBrakePedalWe will do this by lowering the seats and removing the pedals from the children’s bikes for the first three sessions. This enables children to learn the skills with the reassurance of being able to put their feet on the ground if they lose their balance. This helps them to feel safe which builds their confidence. For the fourth session we put the pedals back on and teach them how to perform the skills whilst also pedaling. This course will be held over the following 4 dates with sessions between 3.30-4.30pm on each date. Riders are required to attend all four sessions Sunday 10th NovemberSunday 17th NovemberSunday 24th NovemberSunday 1st DecemberAll sessions are held indoors on the school's sports hall. Instructors encourage parents to observe all sessions so they can understand the skills being taught and help their child to practice outside of the sessions.

The aim of the course is to build the child's confidence to glide on a balance bike with their feet off the floor.
