Join us at Jacko’s Underground Lounge, the Vibrant Vine’s speakeasy venue, October 4th 2024 as the Moonlight Jazz Society begins its 2nd year of the “Winter Series at the Vibrant Vine”. This years inaugural performance brings vocalist Steve Maddock to the stage. For three decades, Steve Maddock has been establishing himself as one of Western Canada’s most versatile vocal talents. He’s been a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, been featured on CBC radio, and is a longtime member of the Juno-nominated vocal ensemble, musicaintima. Steve thrives in a variety of musical settings, whether it be singing while playing piano in a hotel lounge, performing with a jazz trio in a cafe, or fronting a 20-piece big band on a concert stage. He is currently promoting two new albums: The Blues Project (Cellar Live) and Jack of All Trades (Salt Spring Records) We are so pleased to have one of Vancouver’s premiere vocalists grace the stage at Jacko’s. Moonlight Jazz Society (MJS) is a NEW non-profit focused on facilitating connection between primarily composers and arrangers, venues, and audiences to foster synergy in the local and provincial jazz community. In its first year, MJS created an 8-concert series in partnership with the Vibrant Vine winery’s new piano room made possible by the generous contribution of Simon Nuttgens out of Naramata and other community sponsors.
