Using a purpose made plastic plate you will draw into the plastic with etching tools to create marks on the surface. When inked these marks will hold ink which is applied to the printing paper by pressure. Printmaker Nigel Morris (Regional Print Centre, Wrexham) will guide you through the process, plate preparation, making the printing plate, the inking technique and printing using a press and by hand. The balance between too little and too much, what is visually pleasing and total chaos, is something that she's constantly playing with.
