Join the iconic Chasewater Challenge at Chasetown to participate in a fundraiser hosted by Keon Homes for St Basils, a youth homelessness charity in the West Midlands. The event aims to raise crucial funds to combat youth homelessness, a pressing issue affecting thousands of young individuals in the region. St Basils focuses on supporting homeless or at-risk youth aged 16-25 by assisting them in finding stable housing, boosting their confidence, enhancing their skills, and preventing homelessness. The challenge involves covering 666 miles collectively, symbolizing the number of young people housed by St Basils every night. Take part by running, walking, or crawling along the flat 3-mile circular route at Chasewater. Whether you complete one lap or twenty, every mile counts towards the cause. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, with prizes awarded for the most miles covered and the highest funds raised for the charity. Join the Rollins College Summer Volleyball Camps 2024 for an unforgettable experience of skill development and team building. The Individual Skills Day Camp, taking place from July 15-18, 2024, is open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Campers will receive personalized instruction and be grouped according to age and skill level. The camp will focus on improving individual skills while also covering team concepts. At the end of each day, campers will have the opportunity to participate in tournament play and apply what they have learned. Choose between a half-day option for $305 or a full-day option for $390, which includes lunches. For players who are already advanced in the basic skills of volleyball and aiming to play at the college level, the Elite College Prep Day Camp is the perfect choice. Taking place from July 19-21, 2024, this high-intensity camp will provide specific positional training and advanced skill development. Campers will experience the intensity and work ethic necessary to succeed at the next level. The commuter option is available for $390, which includes lunches and dinners, or choose the overnight option for $430, which includes all meals and dorm accommodations. The Team Camp, also taking place from July 19-21, 2024, is designed for varsity and JV level teams. This camp offers a combination of skills training, team concepts, and team building. The experience will be personalized to meet the needs of each team, ensuring growth and improvement. Varsity and JV teams are both welcome, and each team must have a minimum of 10 registered campers to qualify for a free coach. Additional coaches can also participate for $120, which includes housing and meals. The commuter option is available for $270, which includes lunches and dinners, while the overnight option is $330 and includes all meals and dorm accommodations. For rising 9th-12th graders, the Positional Day Camps will focus exclusively on position-specific skills. Each day is a separate camp, and campers can choose to attend one day for $130 or all three days for $325. The camp will cover ball control, floor defense, serving, attacking, blocking, and setting. All camps will take place at the Harold & Ted Alfond Sports Center, the home of Rollins College Volleyball, located at Chase Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789. Campers will learn in a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere, with a small player to coach ratio of 10:1. They will have the opportunity to work with college coaches and players, develop friendships, and receive camp awards. Remember to bring your volleyball gear, a positive attitude, and everything you need for a fun and successful camp experience. We welcome BTR Birmingham social run here for all abilities levels and no one gets left behind. The distance is anything up to 5 miles and is completely flexible to all our runners needs.
