Red Hot Music Club presents the fantastic John Spillane in concert! Come join us for a night of amazing music at Fallons Bar & Cafe. Get ready to be serenaded by the talented John Spillane as he performs his greatest hits live on stage. John has become a regular at the Red Hot Music club since back in the 90's. This is an event you won't want to miss! Grab your friends and make sure to mark your calendars for what will be a grand night of music and storytelling. John Spillane is a musician, songwriter, performer, recording artist, storyteller, poet and dreamer. Rooted in people, place and story, his music transports the listener and his live performances captivate audiences around the world. John Spillane will share his most artistically ambitious work to date: Fíoruisce – The Legend of the Lough, on Friday 13th September 2024. The concept album, to be released on double CD and digital, features John alongside a stellar cast of collaborators: Ríoghnach Connolly, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Niamh Farrell, Nell Ní Chróinín, and more. Level One Kayak Skills Award from Canoeing Ireland plus half 2024 Annual Kilcullen Canoe Club Membership in September Wednesday 11th September 11/09/2024, 7-9.30pm, Kilcullen Canoe ClubhouseFriday 13th September 13/09/2024, 7-9.30pm, Kilcullen Canoe ClubhouseAttendance is mandatory on both evenings. The charge covers €30 for the beginners course , half the €170 for the adult club membership for the 2024 year plus €30 Canoeing Ireland Membership fee. Kayak, helmet and PFD will be provided. Please wear hard sole shoes you are happy to get wet, such as old runners. Please wear warm old clothes ensuring there is no cotton in the fabric. A wetsuit would be ideal if you have one. This course will be based in the KCC Clubhouse only and is designed to get you your Canoeing Ireland Level 1 Kayak Skills Award. With this award, the below syllabus will be covered over the two evenings. An understanding of the Basic Safety Rules of canoeing.An ability to Enter and Exit correctly.Forward Paddle, Reverse Paddle, and Stop.Capsize DrillAn ability to turn while stationary using Forward Sweep Stroke, Reverse Sweep Stroke and a combination of Forward and Reverse Sweep Strokes.Looking forward to meeting you all.

Level One Kayak Skills Award from Canoeing Ireland plus 2024 Annual Family Kilcullen Canoe Club Membership Attendance is mandatory on both evenings. Wednesday 11th September 11/09/2024, 7-9.30pm, Kilcullen Canoe ClubhouseFriday 13th September 13/09/2024, 7-9.30pm, Kilcullen Canoe ClubhouseThe charge covers €30 for the beginners course (x4) and half the €300 for the family club membership for the 2024 year inclusive of Canoeing Ireland membership for each person. A family by club definition is two senior individuals and two junior members living in the same abode. Kayak, helmet, PFD and buoyancy aid will be provided. Please wear hard sole shoes you are happy to get wet, such as old runners. Please wear warm old clothes ensuring there is no cotton in the fabric; such as ski base layers or lycra clothing is best. If you have a wetsuit, this is perfect! This course will be based in the KCC Clubhouse only and is designed to get a Canoeing Ireland Level 1 Kayak Skills Award.
