Our professional story-teller, Jason Buck, presents a candle-lit Halloween show in our haunted basement room. Not for the faint-hearted! When modern and ancient worlds cross over, old gods and spirits can walk the earth, and dreams can become a reality. As the fruitful year begins to die and fallen leaves blanket the earth, it is also a time those things already dead to wake once more, and speak with the living. Join award-winning performance storyteller, Jason Buck, for a one-man Halloween show, fit for the spooky season, in the delightful setting of Temperance café-bar's basement performance space. “I don’t sing because I’m happy. I’m happy because I sing.” Singing is really good for you. It improves your mood and gives you a feeling of energy. But singing as part of a group is even better! It helps bring communities together and improves mental health and happiness. You are invited to join us for tea and cake on a Sunday morning and a good old-fashioned sing-song. Everyone welcome and no experience necessary. Jill Davis will lead the group through a gentle warm up and teach you some beautiful songs so you can enjoy your voice in harmony with others.
