Please join us for a panel discussion that brings together Joiri Minaya, Cara Romero, and Camille Seaman, three artists from Second Nature: Photography in the Age of the Anthropocene. Each artist brings a unique perspective from the different climatological zones in which they work. Seaman photographs vanishing ice in the Antarctic region; Romero imagines a female-oriented Indigenous-futurism; and Minaya investigates notions of femininity and identity in the Caribbean. Join artist in residence Cloe Sparrow in the new Dead Dog Gallery at Durham Sixth Form Centre for a relaxing and mindful journalling workshop. The exhibiton in the gallery is Cloe's first solo show, which you will have an opportunity to look around across two floors. This workshop is one of 6 and will be centred around mindful journalling with sketching and sewing. This workshop is suitable for a wide range of skill sets and abilities, no previous art experience needed. All materials are provided.
