This session is for intermediate basketball players, aged 15+. Suggested Donation: £6.50; 7-8:30 This is a fun, semi-competitive session for fitness and skill development. Open to men and women. Christie Lothamer, former National League Coach, Coaching Cert Level 2 runs this session with stretching, a few drills, competitive games, and half and full court games. There is no score keeping, it is all for fitness and the love of the game. Occasionally other coaches will be running the session. This session is run as a part of the community development and mission work of Journey Communities Churches. We do ask or a level of kindness and consideration of the well being of each player, so no extreme or offensive cursing, arguing, or arrogance will be tolerated. Jeff and Christie, are Christian church leaders and community builders. From time to time, we will initiate opt-in social drinks out, 3v3 tournaments with half-time chats and opportunities for spiritual development at outside events.

Hexham Life Drawing - Halloween Special | The Garden Coffee House

This Halloween special life drawing session involves drawing a mystical model (clothed) from life - all levels welcome, suitable for adults and mature young people. We will explore some short expressive poses, then move on to longer focused poses.
This class is longer than our usual classes, and there will be surprise prizes available for all guests! Fitting with the theme, the venue will be decorated for the spooky season and autumnal drinks and snacks will be on offer. This class should be a lot of fun! This is not a taught class, but will be hosted by BA Fine Artist Megan Charlton.
Some materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own. This session is at The Garden Cafe, 20 Hallgate, Hexham, Northumberland. Drawing will begin at 18.05pm so please ensure you are on time, if you will be late, please let me know in advance as the door will be closed once we begin the session. There will be a range of drinks and snacks available from the venue, including hot drinks, alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. SEATING OPTIONS Standard seats include a chair and table space to work at.
Sofa seats do not include a desk, but boards are available to borrow to rest your paper on. You will be sat on a low sofa rather than a chair.
Both options offer the same great view of the model. PRICING If cost is an issue, please don't hesitate to contact me.
REFUND POLICY A partial refund can be processed if given at least 48 hours notice. Please do let me know if you can't make It nearer the time though.

Hexham Library: Fairytale Shadow Puppet workshop | Hexham Library

Family friendly event for children aged 4-11 years old and their carers is led by artists Jyls Friggens & John Quinn. The session opens with a short re-telling of a favourite fairytale using shadow puppets on a shadow screen. Participants are invited to design & make their own fairytale characters using card & create their story. You will have the opportunity to rehearsal your story on a shadow screen before sharing your performance with the group. All materials provided and puppets can be taken home at the end of the session. The workshop is inspired by The Royal Opera's Family Folk Opera Wolf, Witch, Giant, Fairy which will be screened at Maltings Berwick and other venues around Northumberland during October Half term. Funding for the workshop comes through Northumberland Arts Development.
