Join us on Sunday 6th October 2024 at 13:00 at Future Yard CIC for an afternoon of spooky fun. No experience necessary - just bring your creativity and a willingness to try something new. Let's paint some ghosts together and make some hauntingly beautiful art! Get involved by incorporating your own adorable yet undead companions into mundane thrifted paintings. It's both eerie and eco-friendly! Spooky and Sustainable! This social/workshop is open to all ages but tickets MUST be booked in advance.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Paintings, brushes, paints etc are all provided but if you have your own feel free to bring them along! Examples kindly provided by @captain.bonny

Join us for a fun and creative workshop with the ranger service at Birkenhead Central Library on Tuesday 8 October from 9.30-11.30.
In celebration of National Libraries Week, Hannah, the ranger at Birkenhead Park, will guide you in creating unique puppets using reclaimed wood from local storm-damaged trees. Learn how to craft these puppets and take the skills home to enjoy with children, family, and friends. Hannah will also share insights on how to fully enjoy Birkenhead Park and the activities it offers for all ages.

Stories from the Climate Future Take part in a research project on how we imagine climate futures. Share stories of your own future. Date: Saturday, 26th October 2024 Time: 4 PM - 5:30 PM Location: Bidston Observatory Come to this listening and conversation event at Bidston Observatory Artistic Research Centre on Saturday 26th October 4 pm to 5.30 pm at Wilding Way, Prenton, CH43 7RA. Immerse yourself in the unique audio play Three Sisters - a story from the climate future, set in the mid 2030s in a climate-altered Britain, in the Nith Valley near Dumfries. Our collective listening session will last 30 minutes and will be followed by conversation, which will help us imagine our own climate futures. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided. The event is organised by Lena Šimić (Edge Hill University) and James Marriott (Platform), co-authors of Three Sisters - a story from the climate future. The complete audio play is available on all major audio platforms should you wish to experience it before or after the event. The play and artistic research have been funded by Arts Council England and British Academy. Please note that the Dome, where we are planning to hold the event, is only accessible by two flights of stairs.
