The High School Media Collective (HSMC) and Catania Studios, thanks to their amazing partner, Blackmagic Design, are bringing a team of amazing mentors and new camera gear for an all-day workshop in filmmaking. Cirina Catania, CEO of HSMC and Sundance Co-Founder will be there to mentor filmmakers of all ages. John Parenteau, the filmmaker who previously ran Spielberg's VFX department and is currently Senior Advisor from Blackmagic Design will talk about directing/lighting/blocking and crew positions. Action sports photographer Emily Tidwell is revealing for the first time in Duluth her film, Saving Silence. There will be special workshops with Justin Joseph Hall on Resolve color grading, Giovanni Walker teaching Intro to Resolve and Jacob Rush on viral YouTube tutorials! The event is generously supported in time and treasure by UMFO, Zeitgeist and the Inn at Superior. Students and Teachers!...Come join us.
