Celebrate Westhaven Porchfest on September 20th! Join us for a day of fun and festivities as we celebrate Westhaven Porchfest. This popular annual event brings friends and neighbors together to celebrate Middle Tennessee’s incredible musical influences while enjoying the beautiful Westhaven community. From free live music around the neighborhood during the day to delicious food and drinks, to the ticketed evening concert, there is something for everyone. This year's evening concert features Monsters of Yacht and The Deltaz with special guest Ben Calhoun. Monsters of Yacht® is America’s premier tribute to the Yacht Rock Genre. This fast-growing band has firmly planted its flag in the look and sound of smooth music from the 1970s to the early 1980s. Monsters of Yacht ® delivers rocking recreations of songs from artists like Christopher Cross, Doobie Brothers, TOTO, Robbie Dupree, Player, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Gerry Rafferty, Boz Scaggs, Bee Gees and many more. The band also adds additional songs from artists that are not technically “yacht”, yet positively add to the event and experience. Musicians agree that Yacht Rock music is challenging to accurately recreate live & this band handles it! Ready for smooth sailing? The Deltaz - Shut the screen door on the back porch and throw another log on the fire of the barbecue. Then go inside, pull out your favorite Deltaz album and throw it on the turntable. Heavy blues, roots rock, classic country and the blood harmony of two brothers will pour out of your stereo. Brothers John (Vocals, Harmonica, Drums) and Ted Siegel (Vocals, Guitar) spend many of their days perfecting new records at a vintage mobile Airstream studio behind their residence. Ben Calhoun is the frontman of CITIZEN WAY and a solo artist. He is also a children's book author, the founder of General Records, an independent record company, and Generosity Rocks, a non-profit fundraising platform for musicians. He also serves as a board member of The Westhaven Foundation. Get your tickets now and secure your spot. Limited tickets are available, so act fast and take advantage of our special early bird pricing. You won't want to miss this Westhaven favorite! The General Admission area is open seating on Magli Green with access to food, beer, wine, and cocktails for purchase. Early bird tickets are available for $49, $55 after June 15th. The VIP Experience includes exclusive access to the VIP area on Magli Green in the heart of the music, featuring meticulously crafted hors d'oeuvres and desserts by Executive Chef Manlio Melloni and his culinary team from the Westhaven Golf Club. Experience the private lounge, two bars, and two complimentary cocktails. You will have access to the exclusive stage-front viewing areas (seated and standing). VIP Early Bird tickets are $155, $185 after June 15th. Unfortunately, Coal Town will not be a part of our VIP area this year. However, they will be hosting a "Porch" during the day! There will be no access to Coal Town from the evening event. Proceeds will benefit The Westhaven Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. Visit WesthavenFoundation.org for more information. Sponsorships are still available. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Mark McCutcheon for more details: mark@westhavenfoundation.org. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the show starts at 7 pm. Please get in touch with Mark McCutcheon for more information: mark@westhavenfoundation.org Monsters of Yacht ® has toured from coast to coast performing at events ranging from large festivals, exclusive private events in THE legendary Bel Air California neighborhood, to household-name top national corporate executive events held at the most upscale Atlantic coastal resorts. The band’s members are professional and the show connects with audiences. "Thanks to Monsters of Yacht, our Home Depot executives did not leave the dance floor, which is a very big rarity. We have never seen attendees take to the dance floor before the dinner begins, but the stage energy and music had them on their feet the entire night. Big thanks to this group for elevating our event and experience - can’t wait for the next!! " Katie Harvill / Meeting Advice- Atlanta Information Source: The Westhaven Foundation | eventbrite

Franklin Tomorrow's popular Breakfast With the Mayors, presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners and Gresham Smith, will be held Tuesday, April 29, when Franklin Mayor Dr. Ken Moore and Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson will welcome Williamson County Property Assessor Brad Coleman. Williamson County is completing a reappraisal of all property, commercial and residential, and Coleman will offer a snapshot of the potential impacts of the reappraisal on Williamson County property owners and their property tax burdens. During a recent City of Franklin Budget and Finance Committee meeting, Coleman compared the 2024 total assessed value of property in Franklin at $7.6 million to the projected 2025 assessed value of $11.7 million. The City of Franklin's current tax rate is $.3261 per $100 of assessed value, but with the growth in the assessed value, the projected tax rate Coleman told the commission was $.2111. State law requires a reappraisal be "revenue neutral," meaning the certified tax rate may only generate the same amount of tax revenues for the city as the previous year. In Tennessee, agricultural and residential property is assessed at 25% of its appraised value, while commercial is assessed at 40% of its appraised value. Coleman will offer insight into how property owners across the county, not just Franklin, may be impacted, with values in some areas projected to increase by more than 50%. Williamson County Trustee Karen Paris will talk about tax relief programs and Coleman is also expected to discuss the appeals process. Breakfast With the Mayors is held quarterly with the support of presenting partners, Pinnacle Financial Partners and Gresham Smith, as well as our sustaining partners, Atmos Energy, Williamson Health and Ragan Smith, a Pape-Dawson company. The event is free thanks to the generosity of our partners. It will be held at Rolling Hills Community Church, 1810 Columbia Ave., with coffee service by Lyon Leadership Group, the local McDonald's franchisee, as well as breakfast from Puckett's Gro. & Restaurant starting at 7 a.m. Additional support for Breakfast With the Mayors comes from GFiber,FirstBank, Hazen and Sawyer, and UHY Certified Public Accountants. Breakfast With the Mayors begins at 7 a.m. with a 45-minute networking breakfast. The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and will also be broadcast live on Franklin Tomorrow's website and Facebook pages. Information Source: Franklin Tomorrow | eventbrite

Join your friends and neighbors at the Residents Club for a beautiful evening for just a simple dinner with friends. We are a community of people from all over the world with diverse cultures, backgrounds, opinions, and ideas. On this night, we want to focus on all we have in common as we eat together at one table. We want to start in a spirit of unity by simply having dinner together as a community as we head into summer. All are welcome, and there’s a seat for everyone at our table. Cocktail hour will begin at 6 pm with dinner served at 7 pm. The simple mission of the One Westhaven Dinner Planning Team is, “Just dinner!” We strive to create a community-organized annual activity where the Westhaven neighbors come together in a non-political, non-commercial, non-promotional event to share food and friendship as we celebrate and nurture our unique sense of community, hosted by The Westhaven Foundation. There are two ways to sign up (Both include BBQ Chicken and Beef Tenderloin) : Sponsor a table for $195 - Invite 7 neighbors or other friends in the community to join you at your table. (8 people total) Table sponsors are responsible for providing or coordinating decorations, side items, and drinks for their tables. Some will provide everything and invite neighbors to be their guests, while others will make their table a potluck. Or... join us at an open table to meet new friends and neighbors: Sign up yourself and a spouse or friend (or two!) at a cost of $35 each. You don't need to sponsor an entire table. · You will be hosted at one of the Westhaven Foundation tables, where neighbors can meet other neighbors. We will provide table settings and tablecloths, etc. It's a great way to connect, especially if you are new to the area! · All you need to bring is a side dish to share (the main dish is provided) and your drinks. Reservations are required since space is limited. If the weather becomes an issue, a rain date will be scheduled for a later time. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Westhaven Foundation's Excellence in Education programs. This year, we have provided over $37,000 for scholarships and to our public schools. ROB HARRIS BIO Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Rob Harris, crafts songs that feel like home — stories of life, love, and laughter that are relatable and unforgettably genuine. His journey has taken him from opening for Grammy® and Dove Award-winning artists to sharing the stage with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and KISS legend, Ace Frehley. His creative touch shines in his acoustic waltz arrangement of "Free Bird," featured on the debut album of ACM Award-winning duo Joey+Rory. His songwriting credits include co-writing two Top-10 singles and earning a Gold Record for "Greasy John Deere Cap" on Tim Hicks’ album "Throw Down". His songs have been recorded by The Lovelocks, Ivan Parker, Karen Peck, Marcia Ramirez and a variety of indie artists. Garth Brooks once praised Rob’s “How to Bend,” calling it “a beautiful sentiment, a timeless message and a great song.” Rob also has over forty years' experience leading worship at churches, conferences and events around the country. Locally, he is a frequent performer at Puckett’s Grocery and the world famous, Bluebird Café. Beyond music, Rob is also an actor represented by The Hurd Agency Nashville. His on-screen work includes “Holland” (Nicole Kidman, Matthew Mcfadyen), “A Nashville Country Christmas” (Tanya Tucker, Keith Carradine) and “Someone Like You” by Karen Kingsbury. He’s appeared in national commercials for well-known brands including Visa, ESPN College GameDay and Enterprise along with roles in the popular crime shows Snapped and Fatal Attraction. You can even spot him in music videos for James Arthur (“Just Us”), Sam Hunt (“Locked Up”), and Hardy (“Psycho”, where he plays Hardy’s father-in-law). His latest album, Hourglass (2023, produced by Mike Waldron), is available on all streaming platforms. https://robharrisonline.com/ GORDON KENNEDY BIO Gordon Kennedy is a multi-Grammy Award winning songwriter and record producer, a virtuoso guitarist, and a music industry visionary in Nashville. With his love for storytelling, vintage guitars and his deep knowledge of music history, he has emerged as one of Music City’s most beloved Ambassadors. He co-wrote “Change the World” (recorded by Eric Clapton), which became an international hit in 1996 and won the Grammy for song of the year. The song also won Record of the Year for Eric Clapton, and spent a record breaking 81 weeks on the top of the charts. In 2007 Kennedy also received a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album, co-producing, composing and performing on Peter Frampton’s Fingerprints album. Bluegrass Legend Ricky Skaggs’s Grammy nominated Mosaic, released in 2010, was produced and co-written mostly by Kennedy. Other artists who have recorded his songs include Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Alison Krauss and Bonnie Raitt. Fifteen of his songs have been recorded by Garth Brooks. His compositions have been heard in the film soundtracks of Tin Cup , Phenomenon, For the Love of the Game, Where the Heart Is, Almost Famous, Summer Catch, Someone Like You , The Banger Sisters, Instant Family, and Disney’s The Fox & the Hound 2. In June 1997, the Southern Songwriters Guild inducted Gordon into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in a ceremony in Louisiana. In his early career, Gordon was a member of the Christian Rock band White Heart for six years in the 1980s. He has lent his talents as a player to Don Henley, Kenny Loggins, Reba McEntire, Michael McDonald, Leanne Rimes, Bruce Hornsby, Little Big Town and Shedaisy, among others. He has toured with Garth Brooks since 2019. As a Belmont University alumnus, Gordon has been recognized as a Morris Family Mentor & Lecture Series, Curb College Distinguished Lecturer, and in 2014 received the Curb College’s Robert E. Mulloy Award of Excellence. Kennedy currently serves on the Belmont University Advisory Board, and has served on the Board of Governors for the Nashville’s National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. https://www.gordonkennedymusic.com/ Information Source: The Westhaven Foundation | eventbrite
