Join STEPS and Park People to co-create the new ground mural led by artist Lindsey Lickers, Mushkiiki Nibi Kwe, in the heart of the Rowntree Mills community! Paint with community members to animate a special part of the Humber River Recreational Trail in the Rowntree Mills Ravine. Make your mark in your community and create meaningful public artwork all weekend long: Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM ETSunday, September 22, 2024 from 12:00 to 5:00 PM ETThis is a family-friendly series and drop-ins are welcome. All materials, a light lunch, and refreshments will be provided. Note: Aerosols will be used and wearing paint-friendly clothing is recommended. Parking is available at the southern parking lot off Islington Ave. From there, follow the park past the washroom and look to the left to see the STEPS team. For people who never learnt to cycle or those who haven’t been on a bike for years, and want to regain their confidence. Bikes and helmets are available to borrow, and all of the training takes place at traffic-free venues. If you do have your own bike, then you are more than welcome to bring it! Our friendly and qualified instructors will help you with your balance, confidence and cycling skills and have you riding around in no time. Once you have built up your skills on this beginner session you can book on to one of our improver courses.
