Join an exciting Cyanotype Printing Workshop in Herne Bay on February 24th, where you can explore one of the earliest forms of photography. Hosted by Beach Creative, this workshop will provide a unique opportunity to learn about cyanotype printing techniques and create your own stunning blue and white silhouette images.
During the workshop, you will arrange objects onto UV sensitive paper and expose them to UV light. If the weather is not suitable, UV lightboxes will be used instead. Once exposed to the UV rays, the prints will be washed in tap water to reveal the striking blue and white images. You will also have the chance to create prints on fabric and print your artwork onto a canvas bag.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and all ages are welcome. No previous experience is required, and all materials and equipment will be provided. However, feel free to bring along a small selection of objects to personalize your prints. Please note that the bags may still be wet, so remember to bring an envelope or bag to protect your prints.
The workshop will take place at Beach Creative on Beach Street in Herne Bay. The event will start promptly at 12 pm, so please arrive a few minutes early. The schedule includes an introduction and demonstration, exploring the printing process on paper and fabric, and printing on linen bags. You will be able to take your prints home on the same day.

This season’s final will see Swale v Tonbridge & Malling play for the Under 13 Twenty-Twelve Trophy at Herne Bay F.C., kicking off at 4.00 pm.
Please note:
An adult MUST accompany all children attending this event.
Cans, bottles and chewing gum are not allowed in the stadium.
Having used the ticket to gain access to the ground, the purchaser must retain the ticket throughout the evening and produce it on demand. Anyone unable to produce a ticket when requested to do so will be liable to removal from the ground.
No alcohol is to be brought to or consumed at the venue.
Parking is available for spectators.
In schools’ football, respect for players and staff of both teams and the match officials is paramount. There is no place in schools’ football for spectators to confront or abuse match officials, during or after the match. On no account should any spectators climb over the perimeter wall or encroach onto the field of play before, during or after the game. Anyone behaving in a manner considered inappropriate will be asked to leave the ground.
An official KSFA photographer will be present to take squad photographs before the match, action shots during it, and group and individual pictures of the winning team(s). At no time before, during or after the game are spectators permitted onto the playing area to take photographs. Filming of finals is only permitted with the advance consent of the KSFA, and by agreement of both teams.
