Christmas at Royal Holloway Rupert Gough and the Choir of Royal Holloway perform their Christmas concert in the beautiful surroundings of the College’s Chapel for a festive programme. Tickets Concessions are available for people over the age of 65, external students with a valid ID, RHUL alumni and under 18s. Car Parking When you arrive for a College event at our Egham campus, please park in car parks 12 or 4. Car park 12 can be accessed by turning right as you enter the main College gates and is located next to the tennis courts. If this car park is full, please drive further onto our campus to car park 4, which can be accessed by turning left at the mini-roundabout behind the Students’ Union. If you find both of these car parks full, we have a further large car park 14, which can be used by event guests and is located across the A30 on our North Campus, accessed via Harvest Road. Please give yourself plenty of time to park on the day. Blue Badge holders can find designated parking spaces in Car park 1W, as well as between Gardeners Lodge and the Williams Annexe. Experience the thrill of competition at the inaugural Royal Games hosted by the Royal Holloway Hong Kong Society in Egham. Taking place at The Sports Centre on the Egham campus, teams can showcase their skills in Basketball, Football, and Badminton. The event kicks off on March 17th with initial rounds for Basketball and Badminton, culminating in the final matches on March 23rd for all three sports. Participation in the tournament is free, but space is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, one team member, designated as the captain, must complete the registration form with details of all team members. Confirmation of entry and further communication will be provided to the team captain leading up to the event. Basketball teams are 3-a-side with a maximum of 5 players per team, while Football teams are 7-a-side with a maximum of 10 players. Join us for this presentation with Q&A as part of our inaugural Arts and Culture Festival at Royal Holloway, where creativity meets community!Stephen Bayly, Producer of Richard III - starring Sir Ian McKellen, Annette Benning, Robert Downey Jnr, Kristin Scott-Thomas and Maggie Smith - will talk about the journey of adapting the National Theatre’s celebrated stage production of Richard III into producing a Golden-Globe winning and Oscar-nominated feature film. Using Richard III as a case study, Stephen will share insights into the challenges of mounting the Bard for the screen, and the actor’s quest to bring realism to Shakespearean characters - followed by questions from the audience. Stephen Bayly’s producing credits also include Mrs Dalloway (starring Vanessa Redgrave), and he is author of the book, Working with Actors: Meisner Technique for Directors and Actors, published by Bloomsbury. His second book, Acting Realism: from Garrick to Meisner and Beyond, will be published by Bloomsbury in October 2025.
