Jul 31, 2025 (UTC+0)
Hereford
Explore the dynamic relationship between drawing and sculpture in this hands-on workshop with Ceramicist Lucy Baxendale. These exercises will serve as the foundation for crafting your own small sculptures, offering a dynamic way to experience both drawing and sculpture. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore new ways of working with drawing and sculpture, while having fun and discovering new creative possibilities. About the Tutor Lucy Baxendale is a Ceramicist, Illustrator, and Community Artist from rural Herefordshire. She transforms her sketches into unique 3D sculptures, where lines evolve into stories.
Her work bridges imagination and reality, featuring unglazed, stained surfaces that capture the essence of a sketch. Lucy’s playful approach invites you to see drawings come to life in new, unexpected ways.

We are constantly pushing ourselves to find new ways to collaborate with individuals and communities across the Midlands in seeing how we can develop projects that aren’t just artistically enjoyable but that enable space for reflection on how to make our communities more open, safe and without prejudice. Because of this, we do not want to put any financial barriers between our work and our audiences - if you find this is the case, please email us on chris@letmeinpresents.co.uk and we can discuss alternative ticketing arrangements to enable you to come to the event if you wish to. The Language of the Land | Artist Talk | Sheridan College
Apr 18, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
Whitney-on-Wye
Join us for an introduction to The Language of the Land, the latest exhibition at the Ucross Art Gallery, in an artist and curator talk on April 18 at 11 a.m. The event will be held at Sheridan College’s Kinnison Hall. The exhibition features work by the 2024 recipients of the Ucross Fellowship for Native American Artists: Steven J. Yazzie (Diné/Pueblo of Laguna/European ancestry) of Denver, Colorado; Jeremy Dennis (Shinnecock Indian Nation) of Southampton, New York; and Danielle Shandiin Emerson (Diné) of Shiprock, New Mexico. The exhibition is guest curated by Sean Chandler (Aaniiih), a former Ucross artist-in-residence and the president of Aaniiih Nakoda College on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Montana. “The land holds our identity, our stories, and our truth about ourselves,” Sean said. “Steven, Jeremy, and Danielle have each interpreted their own connection to the land, creating works that are deeply personal and universally resonant. Their art speaks to the strength, resilience, and spiritual connection that Indigenous peoples have with their environment.” The event is free and open to all, supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, a program of the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources. Additional exhibition support is provided by the Wyoming Arts Council, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming Legislature. Following the talk, please join us for a reception at 6 p.m. at the Ucross Art Gallery. Register here. For more information about the Ucross Art Gallery exhibition, click here.

Shit-faced Shakespeare®: Hamlet | Apple Tree Arts
Apr 19, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Grafton
Having been drowned out of our Boston location, we are hitting the road and have landed in Grafton for
One Night Only!
"Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.”
Is it the murder of a king? A hasty incestuous marriage? A prince bent on revenge? Or maybe just a gassy Polonius full of beer! Shakespeare’s greatest work gets the full treatment as we proudly present the US premiere of
Shit-faced Shakespeare®: Hamlet
. This timeless examination of the nature of humanity is performed in an hour, so “To be or not to be” gets answered quickly! Grab a drink and enjoy as we prove that brevity is indeed the soul of wit- helped with a bit of wine!
With a genuinely drunken professional actor each night, no two shows are ever the same. Shit-Faced Shakespeare seeks to introduce a new generation of theatre-goers to the works of the Bard by reviving the raucous, interactive and vibrant nature of Elizabethan theatre with a very modern twist - reminding them as we go to always enjoy Shakespeare responsibly.
Admission
Please note this is an adult show recommended for ages 16+ Valid ID is required to purchase alcohol and will be checked regardless of age.
Ticket Policies
Ticket Fees
There is a small fee when using online ticketing platforms. In days past, we included that fee amount in the ticket price, but for this production, we are choosing to advertise the ticket price and noting that additional fees will be charged. As is compliant with our own beliefs and state law, you will see those fees clearly stated before you make your purchase. We hope this will not deter you from joining us!
Refunds
Refunds for any reason can be requested up to 48 hours prior to the performance start time (aka "curtain"). After this point tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to use your tickets, consider gifting them to a friend. We are sure they would appreciate it!
Discount Codes
We believe theater should be affordable. We clearly state any fees up front and we do not jack up our prices only to offer a multitude of discounts to make it look like you are getting a deal. Our ticket prices are reasonable and we are worth every penny. That being said, we do offer discounts on occasion. These discounts are only announced via our
emails
and
our socials
. You are responsible for entering the codes correctly and choosing the correct ticket. We cannot make adjustment to tickets outside of our regular refund/exchange policies.
Discount Ticket Sites:
This performance is not listed on any discount sites. Please only purchase tickets directly though Eventbrite.
Content Curious?
Our shows feature murder, treason, war, violence (personal, sexual, and national), suicide, regicide, incest, and blasphemy- and that is just the Shakespeare! Our drinker has been known to contribute profanity, and the occasionally bare butt-cheek. If any of this puts you off, maybe another show is more your speed.
But also, we do have sword fights, loud sounds, and flashing lights if those affect your person.

Radical Care Artist Talk Series: Bobby Baker | Hereford College of Arts (University Campus)
Jun 12, 2025 (UTC+0)ENDED
Hereford
Bobby Baker's acclaimed intersectional feminist practice includes performance, drawing, and installation. It persistently exposes the undervalued and stigmatised aspects of women’s daily lives, exemplified by pioneering works such as Drawing on a Mother’s Experience (1988) and Kitchen Show (1991), which the Arts Council Collection recently acquired. Current and forthcoming projects include the Hayward Touring exhibition Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood at Dundee Contemporary Arts (19 Apr–13 Jul 2025); An Edible Family in a Mobile Home (1976) remade in 2023 as part of Women in Revolt! Art and Activism in the UK 1970–1990 at Tate Britain, touring to the Whitworth, Manchester (7 Mar–20 Apr 2025). Established by Baker in 1995, 'Daily Life Ltd' makes art that explores and celebrates everyday life and human behaviour. Their work is rooted in Baker’s vision and art practice, and collaborators include like-minded artists and organisations across the arts, health, and disability sectors. Their mission is to lead advocacy for change in the way people think about women and the undervalued aspects of daily life. This includes celebrating age and experience and tackling misogyny and injustice in the mental health system. Radical Care Artist Talk Series is a programme of free public talks presented by Hereford College of Arts and Meadow Arts. It explores the question of care in the context of contemporary art and how artists are transforming their creative practices to foster well-being and connectedness. Whether you’re a practising artist, student, graduate, or simply curious about the power of art to inspire change, all are welcome to join these free public events to gain fresh insights and engage with bold ideas shaping the future of contemporary art.
