She was a cast member of Australia's Jesus Christ Superstar and appeared on the Original Australian Cast Recording album in 1972 and she toured nationally with the Long Way to the Top concert tour. She has performed backup vocals for many acts such as INXS, Jimmy Barnes, Billy Thorpe, Powderfinger and Hugh Jackman and she provides the vocals for many advertising campaigns. She sings on a number of tracks on the 1985 Rebel: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. In 2004 she became a judge for the fourth season of Australia's Popstars, titled Popstars Live. Eliane Morel and Daryl Wallis created a show called Disenchanted: A Cabaret of Twisted Fairy Tales, set in a 1699 Parisian salon where the Godmother of Fairy Tales (Madame d'Aulnoy) invited disgruntled side-characters to tell their version of their stories. That show toured the country and won awards. Now, we return with our 2025 version, Still Disenchanted, where Mme D'Aulnoy is still the host, but this time it's animals who are up in arms (or is that paws, or claws, or wings?) about their representation. Hold on to your hats for a hysterically funny, topical, roller-coaster ride of a show, nominated at Newcastle Fringe 2025 for Best Cabaret and Best Performer. . BIO – ELIANE MOREL Eliane Morel is a Sydney based writer/actor/singer, graduate of the NIDA writers’ program and the Canberra School of Music, currently principal Mezzo with ‘Sydney’s favourite boutique opera company’, Opera Bites (roles include Rosina in the Barber of Seville, Carmen and Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus). Her plays include ‘The Cabbage Patch Kid’ (Griffin Theatre), ‘There was no Frog (The Performance Space), and solo shows ‘An Evening with Madam Long’ (The Performance Space) and ‘Ba Ngoai’ (4A Theatre). ‘Disenchanted’, her first cabaret, directed by Joanna Weinberg, has been performed at the Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Dubbo and Brisbane Fringes, and received awards for Best Show in Dubbo and Newcastle. Her show ‘Carmen the Cabaret’ won ‘Best Artistic Merit’ at the Newcastle Fringe 2024. Recent musicals include ‘La Luna’ and ‘Millers Point Songbook’ by Joanna Weinberg. BIO – DARYL WALLIS Daryl Wallis is a Stanwell Park based composer, sound designer, keyboard musician, vocal coach and musical director. He has composed music and designed sound for Belvoir, Ensemble, Griffin, Merrigong, Studio, ATYP, Monkey Baa, CDP, Milkcrate, Karnak, STC, CIRCA and Siren Theatre Companies. He won the Federation Bells Composing competition (2012), the Sydney Theatre Award for Best Score and Sound Design (2013) with Elena Kats-Chernin, and Green Room award as MD of Strange Bedfellows. Lachlan’s Bio Lachlan is a Sydney-based singer, actor, dancer and pianist with a passion for musical theatre. He recently began the diploma of musical theatre at NIDA, graduating at the end of 2025. Lachlan has a wide range of music theatre experience, having performed in over 20 musicals, cabarets and plays since 2016; honing his skills with practical performance experience. With a mixed Mediterranean/Latin/Slavic background, Lachlan brings his passion and a unique perspective into every role he plays. One highlight of his time doing musical theatre was when he had the opportunity to perform for P!nk as Sonny in the musical In the Heights in 2024. Music purveys Lachlan’s entire life, so when not making music, Lachlan enjoys taking the pressure off and listening to it instead. He also enjoys a good (but not difficult) board game. Jordan’s Bio Jordan is a Sydney based performer who grew up in Bathurst and moved to the big city to complete her Bachelor of Music at the Academy of Music Performing Arts in 2020. She has recently performed with PACA Productions in The Little Mermaid at the Concourse in the role of 'Ursula' and in Rockdale Musical Society’s production of 9 to 5 as ‘Judy’. Previous credits include ’Pennywise’ in Urinetown (HMS), ‘Killer Queen’ in We Will Rock You (NSTC), ‘Morticia’ (alt) in The Addams Family (NSTC), Oz Ensemble in Wicked (Packemin- unfortunately cancelled, thanks Covid), ‘Nellie’ in Jekyll and Hyde (LCTC) and numerous other cabarets and performances. Jordan has also been involved in production teams for a number of shows, most recently as Music Director for Seussical (CODA) and Legally Blonde (UTS Backstage), and was also resident MD and Co-Choreographer with Musical Makers Club for 2 years combining her passion of frequently being given viruses by children and explaining her lefts and rights.
