LOCO), le macLYON a le plaisir d’accueillir Laurent Mulot, artiste présent dans la collection du musée et actuellement exposé dans Univers Programmés. Cette rencontre sera l’occasion d’échanger avec l’artiste autour de son œuvre, de ses démarches au long cours, et de découvrir les coulisses de Middle of Nowhere, projet emblématique d’une pratique entre art, territoire et fiction. C’est en 2003 dans le cadre singulier de la ville fantôme de Cook, en Australie, que Laurent Mulot a « implanté » le premier Centre d’art contemporain fantôme de Middle of Nowhere avec les deux seuls habitants de cette petite ville. Ce livre est une monographie revenant sur plus de 20 années de recherche et de rencontres aux quatre coins du monde qui ont progressivement permis à l'auteur de rentrer en collaboration avec des astrophysiciens sur la notion du « Milieu de Nulle part ».
