SingSignStory - GRIMSBY is a unique opportunity for the community of Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire to come together and create a beautiful song using Makaton signing. Lisa, Sarah, and Emma will guide participants through a series of workshops held across Immingham, Grimsby, and Cleethorpes, where they will have the chance to write lyrics based on their own words and stories. In addition to creating a brand new piece of music, participants will also learn about the importance and techniques of Makaton signing.
These sessions are free of charge and open to everyone, with a special emphasis on inclusion and families. The Grimsby session will take place at Our Big Picture, conveniently located opposite the Grimsby Minster. Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 3rd from 2pm to 3.30pm, and be sure to bring your friends and loved ones.
Thanks to a generous project grant from the North East Lincolnshire Council, Create North East Lincolnshire, and support from Arts Council England, this event is made possible.
