BLOSSOM x OLIVERSE present CRYSTAL GARDEN - FALL TOUR | Enso Event Centre

Concerts EDM Festivals
BLOSSOM x OLIVERSE presents CRYSTAL GARDEN - Fall Tour - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2025 at Aurum Event Centre (formerly Enso Event Centre) 750 Pacific Blvd, Vancouver, BC, Canada 19+ to attend with valid Gov't ID. Get ready for a night where bass meets bloom. The CRYSTAL GARDEN Fall Tour is coming to Aurum Event Centre, bringing two of dance music’s most electrifying rising stars to the stage for an unforgettable night of house, drum & bass, and melodic dubstep. FEATURING BLOSSOM Blossom knows exactly what she wants and she’s going for it. In a short time, the Night Bass and UKF associated DJ/producer has made her presence known with an array of assertive house and drum and bass productions, all of which radiate a bold, unmistakable style and scream her name out loud — Blossom. The London-born, Phoenix-raised talent caught the music bug early on. Blossom was classically trained and brought up playing 12 years in orchestra before she found her love for dance music. She enrolled at Dubspot, LA in 2015 where she knew she’d find her sound. Named “The Best DJ in Phoenix 2019,” she went on to earn support from AC Slater, Habstrakt, and Joyryde, among others. Since then, she “Blossomed” so to speak. Running a festival circuit in 2022, she took the stage at EDC Las Vegas, EDC Mexico, and Shambhala, and has more top-tier bookings on the way, including a New Zealand tour with UKF. She was named as part of EDM.com “Class of 2023,” establishing her as an artist to watch closely. Her latest self-released EP “On My Own” marks the next stage in her sophisticated career, putting her on the map! Watch out — because Blossom hasn’t fully bloomed just yet. OLIVERSE Oliverse burst onto the dubstep scene in 2015 with his Mountains EP, quickly gaining support from icons like Excision, who championed his track Wormholes. His 2016 remix of Tisoki’s Hold It Down earned long-term support from Skrillex, while his official remix of Tchami’s After Life was signed to UKF and racked up millions of plays. Since then, Oliverse has released on major labels including Monstercat and Disciple Records, where he’s become known for his melodic yet heavy dubstep sound. His tracks have been played by Rusko, Zomboy, Zeds Dead, and many more, with remixes charting on Beatport’s top 5. A fixture at major festivals like Tomorrowland, Rampage, and ADE, Oliverse has built a global fanbase, touring Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. His music has earned airplay on BBC Radio 1 and support from Skrillex, Jauz, Kayzo, Ille-nium, Virtual Riot, and others. MNP is proud to sponsor Women in Consulting Engineering (WCE).   As part of this commitment, we are excited to highlight the work of our Capital Projects & Infrastructure Advisory team. We help clients across Canada plan, fund, and deliver infrastructure projects that make a difference - from housing and health facilities to transportation and community gathering spaces. Our team brings deep experience working alongside Indigenous communities and public sector partners, where meaningful engagement and stakeholder collaboration are key to success.   We believe these same values - inclusion, representation, and shared leadership - are central to strengthening the consulting engineering profession. Through our sponsorship of WCE, we look forward to supporting women leaders in engineering and advancing a more collaborative, people-focused future for infrastructure projects across Canada. Arts Literary Arts
Join us for a special evening celebrating the new memoir Hidden Flowers by the remarkable Keiko Honda, scientist and a Vancouver champion of the arts. This illuminating new work explores the transformative power of artistic self-expression, exemplified by the Japanese concept of “hidden flowers.” Grappling with emptiness, loneliness, and the challenges of aging following her daughter’s departure for university, Honda faces a new phase in her life — a life that has been filled with amazing achievements and debilitating setbacks — through deep introspection and reflection-in-action. Hidden Flowers is an exploration of shifting identity, transition, artistic expression and community building. It investigates the forces of attachment, belonging, cultural expectations, and the intricate dance between tradition and modernity. It reminds us of the power of art and its ability to bring people together, especially in an era when isolation is epidemic. Illustrated throughout with Honda’s watercolour paintings, Hidden Flowers is an inspiring journey that will bolster the spirits of anyone who is experiencing a difficult transition in life or looking for a creative outlet. This event is free, but space is limited. Please RSVP here to reserve your spot. Books will be available for purchase and signing. More about the author: Keiko Honda is a scientist, writer, community organizer and painter. She holds a PhD in international community health from New York University and had a research career at Columbia University, which was interrupted when she suddenly contracted a rare autoimmune disease that confined her to a wheelchair for life. After moving to Vancouver in 2009, Honda began hosting artist salons, for which she was awarded the City of Vancouver’s Remarkable Women Award in 2014. She founded the Vancouver Arts Colloquium Society to bridge generations and cultures through the arts and to offer members of marginalized communities opportunities for artistic self-discovery. She teaches the aesthetics of co-creation in the Liberal Arts and 55+ Program at Simon Fraser University. Teen Angst Night Somewhere in the back of your closet gathering dust and turning yellow with age is comedic gold: those old journals, poems, and essays you wrote as a teenager when you thought you could do no wrong. If you were to read them today you’d probably cringe at your former feelings. Now, imagine sharing them in front of an audience. That’s exactly what happens at Teen Angst Night. Teen Angst Night is a comedic reading series. Readers can share anything (poetry, songs, letters, journals, diaries, essays, stories, plays, lists, livejournals, Facebook status updates etc.) so long as it follows these rules: 1- The work must be your own. 2- You must have written it between the ages of 10-19. 3- You cannot be proud of the work you share. It’s best if you’re super embarrassed. Want to be a part of the show? Sign up to read HERE Readers get free entry for themselves and a friend, plus a small honorarium. Doors open: 7 PM Show starts: 8 PM Show ends: 10 PM Please note the Fox Cabaret is a 19+ venue. Please bring your IDs. If you’re a minor, we’re sorry and hope to have an all ages show sometime soon. ABOUT THE SHOW: Hosted by Sara Bynoe, Teen Angst Night has been running since 2000 and has been featured on CBC Radio too many times to count, has been featured and mentioned as a notable event highlight in The Vancouver Sun/Province, The Georgia Straight, The Globe and Mail, The Daily Hive, and many more local and national media outlets. More info here: https://sarabynoe.com/shows/teen-angst/ MEDIA THOUGHTS ABOUT TEEN ANGST NIGHT “But is it real comedy? It most certainly is. People love to laugh and there are many routes to arrive at that destination. Is it traditional? It most certainly is not. It’s not what the average person envisions when they think of comedy. But regular shows would kill for these kinds of laughs.” Georgia Straight “Teen Angst Night is a good time” CFOX Radio “I like it when the definition of “theatre” gets stretched. That’s what Sara Bynoe’s doing.” … “I gut laughed the whole evening. So did the rest of the audience. It was a full house. It always is. – TJ Dawe in the Charlebois Post Information Source: Sara Bynoe / Yellow Notebook Productions | eventbrite

Upstart & Crow’s Climate Book Club meets every second month to read and discuss works that illuminate the complexity of our shared ecological present. While some are urgent works of non-fiction, and others are novels or hybrid texts, each book is chosen with care for its ability to open new vantage points, challenge easy answers, and — we hope — fuel our collective fight for a liveable future. Whether you think about climate in your career, are worried about our current moment, or simply want to discover new and unexpected perspectives on how we can reach towards a more sustainable future, this book club is for you. Each meeting will be facilitated by Allison Gacad . Allison (she/her) is a journalist, writer, and filmmaker, based on unceded Coast Salish lands in Vancouver, BC. Her work broadly interrogates the politics and economics of climate solutions. Join Allison on Wednesday, October 22 at 6pm to kick off our climate book club with Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton — a gripping, sharply intelligent novel that explores what happens when environmental idealism collides with unchecked wealth and ambition. Set in New Zealand’s South Island, Birnam Wood follows a guerrilla gardening collective as they seize the opportunity to farm an abandoned property, only to find themselves entangled with a billionaire who has his own survivalist agenda... Bring yourself and an open mind to discuss the book. That's all! You do not need to have purchased the book from us to attend, but we’ll be offering a 10% discount on the title if you do. You can do so by selecting between two ticket options.
